Classic Designs School Uniforms is looking for a professional, enthusiastic, motivated individual looking for temporary summer employment. Classic Designs is a family-owned school uniform business located in San Francisco, and has been serving schools in the greater San Francisco Bay Area for over 30 years. This is a temporary, part-time position whose official start date is July 14th, and end date set for August 22nd. There will be orientation/training days during the week of July 8th. Flexible scheduling is required, as are weekends. Hours are approximately 15-30 hours per week.
This person must also be available to work on specified 1-day School Sale Days. The work hours for these School Sale Days will be shifts between 6:30am-8pm. Some are early morning that will last until early afternoon, and others are later afternoon that end in the evening. Candidates do not need to be available for all School Sale Days, but we prefer availability on these days to be open.
This position requires a punctual, dependable, and flexible individual to help facilitate our in-store and off-site School Sales. This person must have good customer service skills, good follow-up skills, be people-oriented, pay attention to detail, follow instructions, and be able to work with children and parents. Previous retail experience is preferred, but not required, as we are willing to train the right person. Interviews will be conducted in late June, and the position will begin on July 9th.
Responsibilities
- Day-to-day sales operations
- Greeting and interacting with customers
- Providing outstanding customer service
- Size and fit children using appropriate measurement tools, price lists, and order forms
- Receiving inventory and ensuring that inventory is in the correct location
- Prepare inventory for 1-day sales conducted on contracted school premises
- Maintain visual standards of the store, both the sales floor, offices, and shared facilities
- Assist in opening and closing duties, such as cleaning areas of the store or powering on certain devices
Requirements
- Ability to lift, push, and/or pull boxes filled with clothes
- High school diploma or work permit for those under 18
