Job Description

We are looking for a sales professional with experience and results-oriented to exclusively lead and manage the sales department of our green onions and moist vegetables program. The selected candidate will be responsible for developing and executing sales strategies to maximize sales revenue, secure the best market prices, and grow our customer base. Additionally, they will lead and manage a team of sales representatives to achieve departmental objectives and create a strong sales force for green onions, positioning us as a strong player in this industry. Furthermore, they will coordinate with our production partners to plan production, ensuring a constant supply of high-quality products to meet customer demand.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement sales plans to achieve sales targets.
  • Build and maintain relationships with existing and new customers.
  • Conduct market research to identify new sales opportunities.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to develop promotional materials.
  • Analyze sales data and provide insights to improve sales strategies.
  • Manage sales budgets and forecasts.
  • Train and support sales staff to achieve sales goals.
  • Coach and mentor sales team members to improve performance.
  • Conduct regular sales team meetings and training sessions.
  • Set sales targets and goals for the team.
  • Monitor and evaluate sales team performance.
  • Foster a positive and collaborative team culture.
  • Coordinate with grower partners regarding production planning and scheduling.
  • Communicate customer demand and sales projections to growers.
  • Collaborate with logistics and operations teams to ensure efficient delivery of products.

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of sales experience in the produce industry.
  • 2+ years of team management experience.
  • Strong knowledge of green onions and the produce market.
  • Proven sales track record.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and leadership skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or related field.

Job Type: full-time salaried role

Compensation/Salary: DOE

Pay: From $170,000.00 per year

Schedule:

  • 8 hour shift
