Overview
Northwestern Mutual's, downtown San Diego office is actively looking to grow our team of successful Financial Sales Representatives. We are one of the top producing offices nationwide and are eager to continue building on our winning culture.
Our in-depth sales training and licensing program equips sales and business professionals with the education and development strategies needed to become successful. (No previous experience in the finance industry is required). We will surround you with resources to help gain financial expertise to confidently provide advice to your clients on the following investment & insurance options:
Asset & Income Protection , Tax efficiency solutions, Education Funding, Investment & Advisory Services, Trust Services, Retirement Solutions, Business Needs Analysis, Life Insurance, Disability Insurance, and Long-term Care.
Responsibilities: As a Financial Representative, you have the opportunity to:
- Build—Work to build a client base through effective outreach, prospecting, networking, and referrals.
- Educate—Develop expert knowledge of Northwestern Mutual financial products and market trends through sponsored training, licensing, and exposure to top representatives nationwide.
- Influence— Present clients with meaningful recommendations to protect, optimize, and grow their wealth using expert perspective and influence.
Compensation & Benefits:
- Performance based pay starting at $60K.
- Average yearly income of the top 25% performers:
- * $137K+ Year 1* $192K+ Year 2* $247K+ Year 3
- Additional income of $3K a month provided to support training and early development.
- Yearly renewal income earned for continued client support and policy management.

Qualifications:
You could be right for this opportunity if you have:
- 4-year degree and 3+ years of Sales, Account Management, Business Development, or Management experience.
- Entrepreneurial ambitions.
- History of success in relationship-building or client-facing roles
- Excellent time-management skills
- Desire for continuous learning and collaboration
- Proficient critical thinking and communication skills
- Legal authorization to work in the US without sponsorship
- Available for flexible on-site work in our downtown, San Diego office.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $85,000.00 - $250,000.00 per year
