Job Overview
We are seeking an EV Charger Solution Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing, testing, and maintaining software applications to meet the needs of our clients. The ideal candidate will collaborate with business unit representatives, R&D teams, regional sales managers, business partners, and customers to ensure the successful development of products and solutions, as well as drive sales conversion. This role involves both pre-sales and post-sales activities, including assisting with product specifications, and providing techno-commercial solutions tailored to customer needs to accelerate the sales process.
Responsibilities
-Review Single-Line Diagrams (SLD) and engineering drawings to assist customers in optimizing design and reducing overall costs.
-Stay updated on industry standards (IEEE, UL, IEC, etc.) to ensure that Autel’s products and solutions are fully compliant.
-Support customers with permit applications, utility interconnection applications, and provide professional guidance throughout project development.
-Collaborate with sales teams, engineers, and product managers to obtain accurate information about application usage, system operations, and product features. Assist in responding to Requests for Proposals (RFP).
-Engage with customer project teams to maintain continuous knowledge of project status, identifying potential issues and opportunities for improvement.
-Liaise with Autel’s design teams, factories, contract manufacturers, customers, and vendors to ensure smooth communication and project execution.
-Provide support to consultants, partners, and customers in testing, installation procedures, and project scheduling, while conducting market research and analyzing emerging trends for new product recommendations.
-Maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant technologies, including EVSE, energy storage, and distributed generation, to fulfill job responsibilities effectively.
-Provide onsite customer support as needed.
Skills
-College degree or higher in Electrical Engineering required.
-Experience in the design, application, and operation of electrical equipment.
-Strong knowledge of renewable energy, energy storage systems, and EV charging technology.
-Proficiency in using lab equipment and tools, including multimeters, oscilloscopes, data loggers, handheld tools, as well as computers and standard office software.
-Excellent analytical, interpersonal, and communication skills, with the ability to clearly explain complex technical concepts.
-Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, self-directed, and entrepreneurial environment.
-Location: NY, or NC.
-Willingness and ability to travel about 20-30% of the time.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $90,000.00 - $105,000.00 per year
