Global HR is seeking Technical Sales Representative to join our team in western US.
Job Responsibilities/Duties:
Sales:
- Maintain a sales territory and try to exceed sales targets; achieve maximum sales in assigned territory through distributor sales.
- Manage sales budgets, by monitoring daily/weekly/monthly report and following up with customers/sales representatives and agents.
- Sustains rapport with key accounts by making periodic visits, exploring specific needs, anticipating new opportunities.
- Provides information by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing data and trends.
- Responsible for continuing to seek new distribution and end user customers.
- Identifies marketing opportunities by identifying consumer requirements, defining market, competitor's share, and competitor's strengths and weaknesses.
- Provide and ensure exceptional customer service through product knowledge, problem resolution, with a commitment to growth.
- Attend Industry trade shows to develop market.
Technical:
- Improves product marketability and profitability by researching, identifying, and capitalizing on market opportunities; improving product packaging; coordinating new product development.
- Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations.
- Provide technical service and information.
- Develop fertilizer schedules for individual customer requirements based on water analyses and grower profiles.
- Develop innovative ways for growers to use Plantex fertilizers to keep an edge over the competition.
- Develop new formulations based on customer demands and requests.
- Increase market share by calling on a large universe of diverse customers to promote and sell fertilizer products, communicate special programs, present marketing/advertising programs and new products, collect and analyze competitive information, handle, and resolve problems and complaints.
- Annually update Fertilizer guide with new formulations.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Post secondary degree/diploma in Business related field or equivalent work experience.
- Minimum 5 years in sales experience
- Prior experience in the Horticulture industry an asset.

- Excellent communication and relationship building skills.
- Self starter with ability to drive new business and hunt for new customers.
- Strong analytical skills to interpret sales data and market trend information.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively and cooperatively with other departments.
- Demonstrated sense of urgency and ability to meet deadlines.
- High degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Strong organizational/time management skills.
- Moderate to advanced proficiency with MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Must be willing to travel and visit distributors, customers, and attend trade events.
