Business Development Manager

Must be U.S. citizendue to U.S. Government contract requirements. Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret clearance. Active clearance preferred.

Arkham Technology is a rapidly growing business in the Cybersecurity domain. We are proud to work as a partner with the government as well as other DOD (Department of Defense) and commercial companies to ensure that our information is protected in crucial environments. Our products have an impressive 99% quality rating (less than 1% are returned each year), and we need excellent business development representatives to ensure we are able to connect with our customers and to get our products and services in front of them.

We are looking for a Business Development Manager to grow with our company and capture new business that fits Arkham Technology’s services and products. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in identifying and capturing business opportunities within the defense sector. Additionally, they should demonstrate capabilities in leveraging their experience to drive strategic growth initiatives and expand our presence in both defense and commercial markets.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement strategies to identify and capture DoD contracting opportunities, particularly those related to cryptography and cybersecurity.
  • Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders within the DoD, including program managers, contracting officers, and decision-makers.
  • Stay informed about upcoming DoD procurements, solicitations, and funding opportunities.
  • Collaborate with technical and engineering teams to tailor solutions that meet the unique needs of DoD clients.
  • Conduct competitive analysis and market research to identify trends, potential partners, and areas for growth.
  • Represent the company at industry conferences, trade shows, and networking events to promote our capabilities and establish our presence in the defense sector.
  • Provide regular updates and reports on business development activities, pipeline status, and performance metrics to senior management.
  • Work with proposal management team to ensure that proposals are completed in efficiently, on time and meets all proposal requirements.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years, but desired 5+ years' experience working in a sales or business development role in DoD Market.
  • Experience with DoD space products and market.
  • Experience with Type-1 Crypto development.
  • Experience with key management and/or key distribution system development.
  • Experience with FIPS 140-3 solutions.
  • Proven experience in business development within the Department of Defense sector, with a focus on cryptography, cybersecurity, or related technologies.
  • Excellent communication both in spoken presentation and technical writing
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and credibility with customers as well as senior-level decision-makers.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a proactive and results-driven approach.
  • Willingness to travel as needed to meet with clients and attend industry events. (Up to 25%)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Business Administration or related field.
  • Strong understanding of DoD procurement processes, including familiarity with FAR/DFAR regulations.
  • Active security clearance (Secret or Top Secret) is a plus.
  • Previous experience in a technical or engineering role within the defense industry.
  • Experience with AI market is a plus.
  • Knowledge of SBIR programs and experience in securing SBIR contracts is highly desirable.

Salary Range: $100,000 to $150,000 + bonus depending on experience.

Pay: $100,000.00 - $150,000.00 per year
