Job Description

Sociable Sales Representative

Sociable seeks a Sales Manager, representative and delivery person to promote and grow the Sociable brands in Eastern Wisconsin. This person will be supporting the wholesaler of our Sociable Cider Werks and Nice'd Tea brands as well as independently self-distributing our Squoze Hemp Seltzers in Madison, Milwaukee and the surrounding areas.

The position requires a solid foundation of working in the beverage business and knowledge of existing on and off-premise accounts and beverage trends in Wisconsin.

It cannot be emphasized enough that this position will require someone who is organized, is a dedicated self-starter and a hustler.

Our Sales Representatives are responsible for working with our distribution team in managing and maintaining existing accounts as well as adding and growing new business.

Principal Responsibilities:

PLAN

  • Set goals, direct and evaluate efforts to grow on-premise & off-premise sales
  • Use data to monitor the impacts of our promotional and sales efforts on velocity
  • Coordinate with production & shipping team to ensure seasonal and new product launches are ready for timely market launch
  • Develop sales promotions and work with the Sociable Art Director in the development of related promotional assets.

SELL

  • Grow and develop the Sociable family of brands
  • Achieve specified sales goals
  • Build strong and lasting partnerships with wholesaler representatives as well as key on-premise and off-premise accounts
  • Maintain high visibility at accounts and in the community by engaging the market though promotions, trainings and events

EXECUTE

  • Same day invoice accounts for self distribution items
  • Deliver cases within framework of same-day ordering system
  • Handle out of stock and or recall issues as needed

Performance Expectations:

PLAN

  • Create annual sales forecast, monthly sales objectives and weekly work plans
  • Create dynamic and creative marketing goals and execution plans.
  • Operate and report within expense and budget guidelines
  • Create monthly reports reflecting velocity, brand penetration, market pricing, market strengths and weaknesses

SELL

  • Spend 4 Days per week in the market actively selling on-premise and off-premise accounts
  • One half- day per week out of the market for sales planning and reporting
  • Weekend availability necessary for working high profile events
  • Maintain relationships with key accounts
  • Maintain placements at large volume & high-profile accounts
  • Preform staff trainings and samplings as necessary
  • Utilize "Stoker" sampling team as necessary for consumer facing outreach

EXECUTE

  • Deliver Hemp product directly off of our truck
  • Be responsible for neat, organized, and well stocked retail facings
  • Be responsible for effective and accurate menu placements
  • Address draft issues as they arise
  • Be well known in the market

Desired Skills and Experience

  • 2+ years experience in sales, or customer relations
  • Knowledge of the Madison and Milwaukee metro area & surrounding suburbs
  • On or off-premise beverage sales experience required
  • Demonstrated self starter
  • Resilient, graceful and gently persistent in the face of obstacles
  • Capable and engaging conversationalist with strong communication and presentation skills
  • Evening and weekend work availability
  • Demonstrated knowledge of beverage market, consumers, and retailers
  • Ability to lift, load, unload and move beer weighing up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to work independently, and as part of team
  • Basic understanding of Word, Excel, and e-mail
  • clean driving record

  • Wage: Commensurate with experience. Heavily incentive based.

Job Types: Full-time, Commission

Pay: $40,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
