The Opportunity

We are looking for a Part-Time Contractor field representative already calling on wine and spirits retail outlets in the Calgary market. This is an entrepreneurial and results driven role. The Territory Manager will be responsible for developing, managing and executing their sales plan and building community engagement activities in their assigned territory. This is an exciting sales opportunity for a friendly, collaborative self-starter who has great interpersonal skills, can present confidently and effectively one-on-one or to a small group, and can build strong customer relationships. The Territory Manager will use technical data to influence decision makers at retail and be capable of using both facts and reason to clearly communicate your messages to our customers, clients and internal team members. Community engagement programs will need creativity and operate within local and federal beverage alcohol regulations. This role will report to the Regional Sales Director.

Responsibilities

Selling and Influencing:

  • Manage all accounts in their assigned territory and establish Evergreen and our client's brands as a favoured partner with customers
  • Create brand awareness and community engagement within your given territory
  • Opportunity to attend relevant beverage alcohol trade shows in region
  • Seek new opportunities to increase brand exposure and volume
  • Identify new distribution opportunities and build partnerships that maximize profitable share and volume through distribution, visibility and service
  • Execute marketing initiatives and leverage them into consumer loyalty and sales
  • Effectively manage their given territory, ensuring all administration records and information is up to date
  • Effectively lead industry and brand education sessions with key stakeholders
  • Achieve Key Performance Indicator targets on:

- Distribution

- In-store condition - displays and shelf position

- Staff education and recommendation

- Compliance to approved outlet route plans and call frequency requirements

  • Build and develop relationships with managers and staff at each assigned retail location.
  • Find unique opportunities to promote Evergreen's portfolio of brands within the confines of the regulations

Planning/Self-Management:

  • Execute territory annual plan and commitments
  • Manage own time including building effective weekly/monthly schedules
  • Maintain and accurately track annual sales and consumer budgets on time
  • Monitor and manage sales expenses within the allotted budget
  • Generate Sales leads, event leads and sponsorship opportunities
  • Execute all programs within established guidelines
  • Support community engagement, customer-lead training, and sampling initiatives
  • Collaborate with the Regional Sales Manager in planning sales activities and setting sales goals for assigned districts

Experience and Background

  • Presently working as a beverage alcohol, preferably spirits, sales representative in Calgary area
  • Entrepreneurial spirit, enthusiasm and strong sense of collaboration
  • Proven track record in achieving sales quotas and in-store KPI’s
  • Previous success in growing brand awareness, within a given territory, using creative thinking
  • Valid drivers' license, access to a reliable vehicle for work and a clean drivers abstract
  • A technologically savvy individual who is comfortable working in a data driven environment
  • 3+ years’ experience in Sales and/or Account Management
  • Proven track record of working remotely and independently

Other Important Details

This position will be part-time contractor, minimum 1-2 day / week, time commitment is negotiable.

Compensation will be $240 / FTE day plus monthly KPI bonus.

The candidate will be responsible for maintaining their vehicle, computer and mobile phone.
