We are in the process of building an industry leading sales team in the region and we have an opening in the area.
Required qualifications for the position:
- Previous experience in transportation, carrier sales, or a related field
- Strong negotiation and communication skills
- Knowledge of transportation regulations and industry trends
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
- Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills
- Proficient in using transportation management systems and other relevant software
- Sales experience in the trucking industry
Responsibilities
- As a Carrier Sales Representative, you will play a crucial role in managing the needs of clients
- You will build and maintain relationships with carriers, negotiate rates, and ensure the timely and reliable delivery of goods
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with carriers and trucking companies
- Source and qualify new carriers to expand the network
- Negotiate competitive rates with carriers while ensuring profitability
- Address customer inquiries and concerns in a timely manner
- Collaborate with internal teams to address challenges
- Meet or exceed key performance indicators (KPIs) related to performance and customer satisfaction
