POSITION SUMMARY
The Supply Chain Co-op is designed to offer students pursuing a degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field, practical, hands-on experience in the healthcare industry's supply chain operations. The co-op will participate in various projects and daily operations, supporting our strategic goals, including cost savings initiatives, process optimization, and supply chain sustainability.
ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Project Support: Assist in the planning and execution of supply chain projects, including cost reduction initiatives, supplier performance management, and process improvement efforts.
- Data Analysis: Work with the Data Scientist and supply chain team to analyze data for decision support, including spend analysis, contract compliance tracking, and performance metrics.
- Operational Assistance: Support the daily operational activities within the supply chain function, including order management, inventory control, and supplier communication.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with internal stakeholders (clinical staff, finance, operations) and external partners (suppliers, GPOs, distributors) to support supply chain objectives.
- Learning Objectives: Actively engage in learning opportunities within the healthcare supply chain environment to gain a comprehensive understanding of the industry's challenges and best practices.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Education: Currently enrolled in a bachelor’s or Master’s degree program in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field, with a good academic standing.
Skills: Demonstrated interest in healthcare, supply chain, or operations management.
- Strong analytical skills, with proficiency in Microsoft 365 (Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Willingness to engage in a variety of tasks, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability.
