We are seeking a skilled Business Development Manager to join our team. The role involves a balanced focus on both grant writing and fundraising, along with identifying and acquiring potential funders for our organization's development efforts. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in securing grant funding, cultivating relationships with donors, and developing strategies to support our organization's mission and initiatives.
Responsibilities:
- Research, identify, and apply for grant funding opportunities from various sources.
- Develop compelling grant proposals and applications to secure funding for organizational programs and projects.
- Cultivate relationships with potential funders, including foundations, corporations, and individual donors.
- Collaborate with program staff to gather information and data necessary for grant applications.
- Manage the grant application process, including tracking deadlines, preparing supporting documents, and submitting proposals.
- Monitor and report on grant-funded programs and projects to ensure compliance with grant requirements.
- Conduct prospect research to identify new funding opportunities and potential donors.
- Develop and implement fundraising strategies to support organizational goals.
- Collaborate with the development team to create fundraising campaigns and events.
- Cultivate and steward relationships with existing donors to encourage continued support.
- Stay updated on trends and best practices in grant writing, fundraising, and donor relations.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g., nonprofit management, communications, business).
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in grant writing and fundraising.
- Proven track record of successfully securing grant funding from government agencies, foundations, and other sources.
- Excellent writing skills with the ability to craft compelling grant proposals and donor communications.
- Strong research and analytical skills to identify funding opportunities and potential donors.
- Ability to build and maintain relationships with funders, donors, and stakeholders.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and fundraising software.
- Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlines.
- Knowledge of nonprofit fundraising principles and practices.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
