JOB SUMMARY
:
The Product Specialist, Inside Sales Representative, is responsible for prospecting, qualifying, closing, and maintaining post sale relationships. This role thoroughly understands all product capabilities, features, and benefits as well as product warranties and services. This role will assist customers over the phone, internet, email or in person with orders, quotations and product questions. The Product Specialist, Inside Sales Representative negotiates profitable pricing with customers.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
:
The major responsibilities of the position are listed below. To perform the job successfully, the individual must be able to execute each essential duty satisfactorily. Other duties, assignments, and specific projects may be assigned at the discretion of executive management.

  • Maintain, develop, and expand relationships with existing customer portfolios.
  • Grow Duct Fabrication & Installation portfolio to achieve and exceed bookings and revenue targets through outbound and inbound call activities.
  • Build and maintain a balanced funnel of sales prospects to drive bookings and grow revenue.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert for KB Duct Products.
  • Handle technical support questions from new and existing customers.
  • Collaborate with Outside Sales on new product applications and cross sell opportunities.
  • Provide customer support via email and by phone.
  • Consult with customers on current and future projects.
  • Utilize Salesforce.com to track the sales pipeline to meet and exceed sales targets.
  • Quote prices and manage quote follow-up activities.
  • Coordinate the fulfilment of customer requirements (technical support, training, sales collateral, etc.).
  • Develop and maintain a thorough knowledge of products and services to provide accurate and detailed information to customers.
  • Other job duties as assigned.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
:
  • BS degree in Science, Engineering, Business, or Equivalent Experience.
  • 1-2 years selling filtration equipment, capital equipment (air handling, test equipment), or construction projects into industrial markets. Technical background with the basic understanding of air handling, filtration, purification, and HVAC system design preferred.
  • Experience in project lifecycle process for projects in manufacturing.
  • Systems Integration with a focus on process analytics would be helpful.
  • Familiarity with Contract negotiation and legal language.
  • Strong computer skills including Microsoft office.
  • Experience with Sales Force is desired.

LICENSING/CERTIFICATIONS
:
PMP, CAPM or related certifications desired.

  • Sales and Marketing — Knowledge of principles and methods for showing, promoting, and selling products or services. This includes marketing strategy and tactics, product demonstration, sales techniques, and sales control systems.
  • Customer and Personal Service — Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services. This includes customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction.
  • English Language — Knowledge of the structure and content of the English language including the meaning and spelling of words, rules of composition, and grammar.
  • Administration and Management — Knowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, human resources modeling, leadership technique, production methods, and coordination of people and resources.
  • Persuasion — Persuading others to change their minds or behavior.
  • Active Listening — Giving full attention to what other people are saying, taking time to understand the points being made, asking questions as appropriate, and not interrupting at inappropriate times.
  • Speaking — Talking to others to convey information effectively.
  • Coordination — Adjusting actions in relation to others' actions.
  • Critical Thinking — Using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems.

  • Oral Comprehension — The ability to listen to and understand information and ideas presented through spoken words and sentences.
  • Oral Expression — The ability to communicate information and ideas in speaking so others will understand.
  • Written Comprehension — The ability to read and understand information and ideas presented in writing.

ADA REQUIREMENTS (For U.S. positions only)
:

Positions in this function typically require typing, sitting, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, fingering, grasping, feeling, talking, hearing, seeing and repetitive motions.

  • Concentrated mental and/or visual attention. The work involves performing complex tasks to very close accuracy and quality specifications, or a high degree of hand and eye coordination for sustained periods.
  • The job is typically performed under comfortable working conditions; any disagreeable elements are generally absent during normal performance of job.
  • Compliance with company attendance standards.

Sedentary Work: Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time. Jobs are sedentary if walking and standing are required only occasionally, and all other sedentary criteria are met.

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS
:

Limited travel may be required on occasion to meetings or customer locations.
