POSITION LOCATION:
This position serves clients in Maine and New Hampshire.

Most areas fall within a daily commute; however, several overnights may be required each month to cover areas too far for a daily commute depending on your residential location.

THE OPPORTUNITY:
The Field Sales Representative will call on an established network of DIY Retailers, Home Centers, Hardware Stores, and Lumber Yards, representing product for a national distributor of parts, tools and equipment in the building materials industry, specifically in the roofing category.

The successful individual will have a minimum of 1 to 3 years of post college work experience. We are looking for people who have done B2B Sales and want to work in outside sales. A building materials or building products background will be advantageous as will experience calling on retailers. Some experience in B2C may be suitable. The employer seeks candidates preferably with a 4 year Bachelor's degree in Arts, Business or Science. Other credentials will be considered.

In terms of job title you will find that firm’s use a variety of titles to describe similar positions. Job titles synonymous with Outside Sales Rep include Field Sales Rep, Account Manager, Account Representative, Account Executive Account Supervisor, Account Coordinator, Customer Account Manager, Sales Representative, Key Account Manager, National Account Manager and more.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Service the employer’s current retail clients and create new ones.

Detail company products to relevant retailers.

Be on the road every day and follow through with scheduled appointments.

Work out of a Ford F-150 truck and with whatever small office type setting you’ll have at home.

REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor’s degree in any field - business or arts preferred.

Outgoing, friendly and motivated to work in outside sales.

A minimum of 1 to 3 years of B2B sales experience, during and post College.

Exposure to construction work and knowledge of tools is a plus.

Any type of construction, contractor, or building materials background can be a plus, but it’s not necessary.

Must have an excellent driving record.

Past or current participation in sports is considered a positive attribute.

Able to travel to Headquarters in Massachusetts for 2 weeks of training / orientation (expenses covered).

COMPENSATION:
Earnings provide a very comfortable living. This includes a competitive base salary plus commission and bonus. Total monetary compensation is in the mid seventies (mid 70's), or a bit more, commensurate with experience. Excellent benefits are provided and your package includes a fully covered company vehicle available for both business and personal use.

$200 cell phone allowance per month.
