Since 1969, Lakeside has been the premier provider of specialized behavioral health and addictive disease services in the Memphis and Mid-South region. The 365-bed facility is one of the largest free-standing psychiatric hospitals in the United States. We are located on a serene 37-acre campus in northeast Shelby County, serving as the setting for the treatment for children, adolescents, young adults, adults and seniors. Lakeside’s comprehensive programs treat disorders such as bipolar disorder, psychological trauma, depression and anxiety, mental illness and addictive disease disorders such as alcoholism, drug addiction and substance abuse.

Job Description
The Next Step Business Development Representative provides internal Sales, Marketing, and Customer Service activities within the Marketing Department and coordinates campus step-down opportunities for RTC, PHP, and IOP levels of care. The Next Step Business Development Representative is responsible for implementing the UHS Next Step program. Ensures patients who are clinically appropriate maximize all treatment options in the continuum of care. The Next Step Business Development Representative will work in collaboration with the medical staff, utilization review, social services, and nursing staff and will demonstrate the ability to work as a member of a multidisciplinary team. Examines risks and potentials and facilities goals. The Next Step Business Development Representative will also look at implementation and coordination of an Alumni Program. Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; maintaining personal networks; and participating in professional organizations.

Qualifications:
Job Requirements
Education: Master’s degree in Social Work, Counseling or Marketing/Business preferred; Bachelor degree or Associate degree or graduate of accredited nursing program highly preferred. High school diploma required.


Experience:
Prior marketing and/or sales experience within a behavioral healthcare setting.

Licensure/Certification:
LPC, LCSW, LMSW, RN or LPN preferred.

Knowledge:
Prefer knowledge of the Memphis and Southwest Tennessee behavioral health marketplace, insurance plans, target markets and referral sources, psychiatric and chemical dependency diagnoses & symptomology, age specific programming.
