Our client, Deehan Landscaping, based in Falls Church, VA, and serving Northern VA, is expanding their friendly team and hiring a Part-timeSales Assistant & Customer Service Representative to help facilitate growth in their industry! Our ideal candidate is one that loves to get things done, with exemplary communication and people skills, and loves delivering fantastic customer service to our wonderful clients. The position requires a highly intelligent critical thinker and multi-tasker who likes to work in a small office, meet with clients onsite, and wear many hats, all the while being highly productive and effective at assigned tasks.

Job Summary

The Part-time Sales Assistant & Customer Service Representative position is responsible for helping with the day-to-day sales operations of the Company, mainly providing services to our Customers or potential Customers. The position includes helping with administrative and sales support as well as customer service. The position is responsible for creating estimates which will align and contribute to the Company’s Sales Goals for the future. In addition to typing, this position performs duties such as data entry, handling customer complaints, scheduling of work, cancellations, billing and account questions, sales, on-site property evaluations, coordination and scheduling material orders with vendors and working on special projects.

This position will also help with contract renewals, quality control, answers non-routine correspondence, assembles highly confidential and sensitive information dealing with Customers, deals with internal team members at all levels of the organization and other duties as assigned.

Independent judgment is required to plan, prioritize and organize a diversified workload.

Required Work Education, Experience, and Skills

  • High School Diploma
  • 2 years of administrative experience.
  • 3 years of customer service experience.
  • 1 year of sales experience, including quotes and estimates
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Proficiency in CRM Software
  • Tech savvy with IT abilities and a quick learner
  • Clear and effective communicator both verbal and written.
  • Excellent multi-tasking and time management skills
  • Ability to manage and handle frequent interruptions in workflow, while reprioritizing when necessary.
  • Knowledge of light accounting practices and data entry skills
  • Meticulous about ensuring that numbers and other data are correct, and tasks are completed on time and accurately.
  • Understands that while process and rigor are important, a human approach, common sense, trust, and follow through are at the core of the Company’s values.
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to be insured on company policy.
  • Ability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs.
  • Ability to work in an outdoor environment in sometimes harsh weather conditions, sometimes near heavy equipment and construction activities.
  • Ability to work flexible working hours to accommodate customer appointments and meetings.
  • Must be willing to undergo a background check according to all VA and Federal laws

Bonus Points for You if You Have These

  • Associate Degree or equivalent work experience and education
  • Three (3) years of related experience in an office or sales position
  • Experience in a Lawn Services or Landscaping Company
  • Expert in Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Proficiency in QuickBooks Desktop Program
  • Bi-lingual English and Spanish
