Senior Business Development Manager
Location & Type: Oakville, ON | Full-time and Hybrid
Job Summary: As a Senior Business Development Manager at Patch, you will play a pivotal role in driving the company's growth by identifying and acquiring new business opportunities within the IT and AV industry. You will be responsible for building and nurturing relationships with clients, understanding their staffing needs, and providing tailored recruitment solutions. The ideal candidate is a highly motivated, results-driven individual with a proven track record in technical recruitment sales and a deep understanding of the technology landscape.
Key Responsibilities:
Business Development:
- Identify, prospect, and acquire new clients within the IT and audio-visual sector through various channels such as cold calling, networking events, and referrals.
- Build and maintain a robust sales pipeline, consistently meeting or exceeding sales targets and revenue goals.
- Conduct market research to identify emerging trends and opportunities in the tech recruitment industry.
Client Relationship Management:
- Cultivate strong relationships with clients by understanding their staffing needs and providing tailored recruitment solutions.
- Collaborate with clients to create job descriptions and specifications, ensuring a clear understanding of the required skills and qualifications.
- Act as a trusted advisor to clients, offering insights into market trends, salary benchmarks, and talent availability.
Candidate Sourcing and Evaluation:
- Collaborate with recruitment teams to source, screen, and evaluate tech professionals based on client requirements.
- Conduct thorough interviews and technical assessments to assess candidates' skills, experience, and cultural fit with client organizations.
- Present qualified candidates to clients and coordinate interviews, providing feedback and guidance to both clients and candidates throughout the hiring process.
Negotiation and Closing:
- Negotiate contract terms and conditions with clients, ensuring favorable terms for both parties.
- Facilitate the offer and acceptance process, addressing any concerns and objections raised by clients or candidates.
- Provide support during the onboarding process, ensuring a smooth transition for placed candidates.
Reporting and Documentation:
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of sales activities, client interactions, and candidate progress in the company's CRM system.
- Generate regular sales reports and performance metrics, analyzing data to identify areas for improvement and growth opportunities.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field.
- Proven experience in tech recruitment sales, with a strong understanding of technology roles, skills, and industry trends.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to build and maintain relationships with clients and candidates.
- Results-oriented mindset with a focus on achieving and exceeding sales targets.
- Familiarity with applicant tracking systems (ATS) and customer relationship management (CRM) software.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
