- Grow regional profits by taking responsibility for the execution of development activities and sales in the Asphalt Additives market in US.
- Deliver sales plan in a new market segment.
- Deliver on multi-year growth targets and budgets aligned with market strategy.
- Deliver sales to support growth and profitability targets based on identified opportunities.
- Develop and maintain pipeline of sales opportunities/customer prospects in the Asphalt Additives market in US.
- Develop and maintain sound business relationships with customers to increase market share and to retain current customer base. Record engagements.
- Develop/manage relationships with key industry stakeholders; uncover and report market trends; recommend (technical) developments and innovation for new market penetration.
- Interact with internal stakeholders e.g. Marketing to manage all aspects of daily business to ensure customer satisfaction; accountable for OtC cycle and sales forecast accuracy.
- Work in a global Performance Additives team; exchange knowledge and support colleagues.
- Work with Senior Manager: Sales, Performance Additives to negotiate and manage contracts with customers and distributors and give support on ad-hoc projects as required.
- A significant portion of the role will be development of new business in a new market segment, so a desire to obtain new business through multiple external stakeholder networks.
- 10+ years of Market Development, Product Development, and Business Development, preferably in the Asphalt industry
- Demonstrated technical and sales experience (preferably in the Asphalt Additives market) with a track record of closing sales.
- Analytical skills, excellent interpersonal, communication and leadership skills
- Customer-, service- and solution-oriented personality (e.g. self-motivation, delivering high quality solutions and services, demonstrating flexibility)
- User skills for IT modules corresponding to Sales tasks, familiar with value based pricing.
- Ability to work in a multicultural environment and independently work on assignment
- Willingness to travel
