ChampionX is seeking an experienced Business Development Manager located in Calgary or Edmonton, Canada. The Business Development Manager will be responsible for maintaining and growing RMSPumptools market presence in Canada and supporting the Business Development Manager in North America with the same.
The successful candidate will be an entrepreneurial self-starter who is effective in creating and closing opportunities with minimal supervision.

What You Will Do:
Become focal point for clients for all matters related to the company - and coordinate with the appropriate departments for support, to include:
- Developing technical quotes, and proposals for clients.
- Commercial proposals, PO management, shipments, invoice collections.
- Finding and developing new clients/markets and improving sales.
- Listen, understand, and convey customer requirements.
- Attending conferences, meetings, and industry events.
- Visit clients and coordinate with company to promote sales of products, both existing and new.
- Expand Customer base by seeking new clients for the company’s product line
- Interpret customer specifications and coordinate proposals with Customer Service
- Identify new technology opportunities
- Provide feedback for continuous product improvement and new product development
- Utilize all available resources including management, Customer Service, Applications Engineering, marketing and others to advance and close sales.
- Provide on-site presentation, training, and assist in installations if required
- Attend and participate in tear down and equipment inspection and reports.
- Work as part of the sales team to generate ideas for company sales opportunities, processes and systems.
- Submit regular updates on activities either in form of regular reports or via a CRM system once one is established.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3-5 years in a similar sales or technical support position.
- Batchelor's Degree in Engineering or related Technical field
- Experience and Knowledge of the Artificial Lift market. (SAGD knowledge a plus)
- Excellent communication skills that convey conviction and depth in our value proposition.
- History of working in a field that required autonomy and self-motivation.
- Ability to present, influence, and collaborate at the leadership level.
- Technical skills required to create proposals and find solutions to meet client requirements.
- Excellent organizational skills to meet goals and set priorities
- Be proactive, organized and handle work under uncertain environments.
- Defining, implementing (and innovating) sales plans
