Marketing Sr Manager, UPLIZNA Medical Marketing

What you will do
Let’s do this. Let’s change the world. UPLIZNA (inebilizumab) is a monoclonal antibody that targets the CD19 cell surface marker on B-cells. UPLIZNA is currently indicated for the treatment of Neuromyelitis Spectrum Disorder (NMOSD) and is in development for other autoimmune diseases, including Generalized Myasthenia Gravis (gMG). gMG is a chronic autoimmune disease caused by autoantibodies in the neuromuscular junction that attack muscle receptors, leading to poor neuromuscular transmission. The UPLIZNA gMG HCP team will focus on educating Neurologists and differentiating the benefits of UPLIZNA for patients with gMG. The Marketing Senior Manager will be a critical leader within the brand team, tasked with leading the development of the Neurology Speaker Bureau. This role will impart cross-functional leadership, strong teamwork and communication skills, a passion for patients, and a commitment to excellence in carry-through.
- Responsible for developing and executing a medical marketing strategy to support the launch of UPLIZNA in gMG, including peer-to-peer education, congress activities, and association relations to achieve brand objectives, strategies, and sales targets. This role works collaboratively with Medical Affairs to leverage clinical data and thought leader development to accelerate the changing treatment paradigm of gMG
- Lead the development, recruitment, and operations of the UPLIZNA gMG US speaker’s bureau (Disease State and Branded Launch)
- Lead the development of the P2P speaker’s materials (Disease Education and Branded Launch)
- Lead the development of medical marketing promotional and disease-state educational tactics, including peer-to-peer programs, product theaters, and resources for the field.
- Lead the development and execution of UPLIZNA gMG speakers training
- Lead Neurology Congress activities and execution, including booth design and KOL engagement
- Manage and enhance external relationships with thought leaders and strategic business partners in collaboration with the field-based strategic marketing liaison team
- Collaborate with medical affairs and field-based marketing team members to develop a comprehensive understanding of thought leaders, key accounts, regional opinion leaders, and influence networks within gMG
- Work with the promotional review committee (PRC) to ensure that P2P marketing materials meet brand, regulatory, legal, and medical guidelines and coincide with launch approval deadlines.
- Contribute to developing the annual brand plan with responsibility for defining and executing key areas within the associated tactical plans.
- Partner with professional marketing and medical on KOL strategy and engagement
- Maintain an in-depth knowledge of competitive activity and market dynamics that may affect the product’s development.
- Support onboarding new team members, including field team members, as the launch team expands; collaborate with team members across the gMG launch team to evolve messaging and tactics as we prepare to launch UPLIZNA in the gMG market.
- Collaborate with sales training to develop content that ensures effective execution of promotional resources.
- Demonstrate the ability to work with cross-functional teams (e.g., global marketing, regulatory, legal, medical affairs, TLLs, advocacy, market research, market access, sales operations, and sales training) on launch strategy and messaging and other professional marketing initiatives as needed.

Basic Qualifications:
- Doctorate degree and 2 years of Marketing and/or business experience in a role aligned with a Marketing/Sales commercial organization
- Master’s degree and 4 years of Marketing and/or business experience in a role aligned with a Marketing/Sales commercial organization
- Bachelor’s degree and 6 years of Marketing and/or business experience in a role aligned with a Marketing/Sales commercial organization
- Associates Degree and 10 years of Marketing and/or business experience in a role aligned with a Marketing/Sales commercial organization
- High school diploma / GED and 12 years of Marketing and/or business experience in a role aligned with a Marketing/Sales commercial organization
Preferred Qualifications:
- Strong medical marketing competencies to include advisory board content development/execution, speaker’s bureau development, KOL engagement, marketplace analysis, insight generation, HCP & patient segmentation, brand sustainability and multi-channel engagement.
- Experience in leading strategy development and influencing cross-functional teams
- Experience in neurology preferred.
- Rare disease and launch experience preferred.
- Experience collaborating with external experts and professional medical associations.
- Strong communication effectiveness: ability to engage, connect, and influence senior management and the sales and marketing organizations
- Experience working with multiple projects and managing multiple external vendors.
- Ability to translate and communicate complex information/strategies into simple and impactful plans
