We are currently hiring for a Technical Sales Representative for the Greater Toronto area, (you must be located in this area).

NATURE and SCOPE

Market roof pavers and their accessories to roofing contractors and roofing material dealers across Canada in conjunction with Brooklin’s Standard Precast Products in Ontario markets. . The Sales Representative will interact with end user consultation professionals such as Architects, Designers, Spec Writers, and Engineers as required in the Ontario area.

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:

· Working with Technical services, take off project requirements from plans and prepare quote and proposal documents.

· Deliver and present quotes / tender documents.

· Negotiate scope of work and contract dollar values to secure orders to meet sales targets.

· Deliver comprehensive sales and service to clients as above.

· Prospect, search tender sites for projects and identify selling opportunities to expand market base.

· Monitor market trends and conditions and manage territory.

· Gain and maintain customer confidence.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Promotion:

· Promote Brooklin products to new and current clients as well as Designers and Influencers.

· Manage customer inquiries and execute cold call strategy to expand market base.

· Attend trade shows and participate in various industry functions and associations.

· Create awareness and technical education on uses of standard precast.

· Persuade & influence prospective customers.

Prospecting:

· Track prospective projects with Brooklin’s CRM system.

· Position Brooklin products, services, and specifications in the marketplace where applicable

· Identify, qualify, and create leads.

· Make cold calls, update catalogues, and introduce standard precast to new customers.

Technical Service:

· Conversant with construction drawings and specifications as well as simple math for square footage calculations where needed.

· Evaluate and provide technical service and guidance to design and construction community.

· Identify best precast solution. Develop working sketches and proposals with a working knowledge of product//Brooklin benefits and limitations vs. other methods of construction.

Customer Service:

· Promotion

· Maintain and strengthen customer relations through client visits and hands-on approach.

· Follow up with client on service for feedback on performance.

Health and Safety:
Work in compliance with the Occupational Health and Safety Act and Regulations and the Company Health and Safety Roles and Responsibilities. Promote Brooklin’s safety vision.

Primary Interactions

The position requires possible daily interaction with Sales Manager, other Sales Representatives and Customer Service Representatives. It includes extensive interaction with Brooklin Sales Offices, Manufacturing, Logistics, and outside contractors.

Education and Experience

· Post-secondary education preferred.

· Experience with Precast sales and product experience preferred.

· Broad technical background and knowledge.

· Strong communication and negotiating skills.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: $65,000.00-$95,000.00 per year

  • Are you located in the Greater Toronto Area? This is not a work from home position. You must be able to visit customers in the Greater Toronto and Ontario regions. While you may work from home at times , you will spend most of your time with customers.

  • Secondary School (preferred)

  • Sales: 2 years (required)
