Summary: The ideal candidate will be a highly motivated self-starter who is extremely organized and possess the capacity to manage a high degree of complexity. At TTU, our Sales team plays a vital role in meeting TTU’s production objectives as our sales force lives, directs and promotes TTU’s values and corporate image to our internal and external customers.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

· Requires travel on company business.
· Maintain a high level of confidentiality with proprietary customer information.
· Develops new consumer relationships aligned with business goals and objectives.
· Cultivates new market share through various venues including internet research, trade shows, organizational networking and customers leads.
· Delivers quality customer service through personal and telephone contact.
· Collaborates with customer base purchasing, production and engineering teams and delivers timely follow-up on quotations and pending orders.
· Provides technical support to customers.
· Provides weekly sales reports to TTU team on generated activity in the assigned territory.
· Provides bi-weekly sales forecast and target predictions on upcoming 4 weeks.
· Supply a 6-month forecast by customer and product for budget setting.
· Attends monthly and quarterly sales meetings.
· Creates “potential customer reports” within assigned territory for TTU team.
· Provides monthly report deliverables including:

¨ Updates to the current 6-month budget report.
¨ Updates to the “potential customer report.”
¨ Status reports on FG inventory holdings for customers within assigned territory.
¨ Updates customer A/R status reports within assigned territory.
¨ Reports current expense budget to actual with variance detail.

· Assembles and reports competitor information related to TTU business activities including:

¨ Market research.
¨ Competitive pricing.
¨ New product design, development, and launch.
¨ New plant developments and expansions.
¨ Prepares 3-year sales projections and long-term strategic planning.
¨ Manages assigned territory in an efficient and economical manner.
· Completes other duties as assigned

Education, Experience and desired Qualifications:

  • 4-year college degree in Chemistry, Mechanics, Metallurgy, Economics, Marketing or Business Development with 1 year of related experience, or 4 – 6 years of related Sales and Marketing experience.
  • Valid driver’s license required.
  • Must be legally permitted to work permanently in the USA. VISA sponsorship and relocation costs are not authorized for this position.

Language Ability:

  • Must be fluent in written and spoken English.
  • Fluency in Japanese as a second language a plus.

Reasoning Ability:

  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of variables, personalities, and supply chain situations where limited standardization exists.
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

Computer Skills:

  • Word processing, MS Suite, Excel, E-mail, Inventory, Manufacturing software

Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • None

Work Environment:

Professional office environment. Limited exposure to non-toxic graphite dust, which is classified as a nuisance dust. Travel to customers’ locations is mandatory.

While performing the duties of this job the employee is regularly required to stand. The employee is frequently required to walk. The employee is occasionally required to sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to lift up to 25 pounds. The vision requirements include close distance and depth perception.
