Key Responsibilities:
- Actively prospect for new business opportunities and generate sales leads through cold calling, networking, and referrals.
- Present maintenance contracts, service agreements, and product offerings to clients to maximize revenue opportunities.
- Collaborate with the sales team to develop sales strategies, pricing models, and promotional campaigns.
- Prepare and deliver sales proposals, estimates, and contracts to prospective clients.
- Follow up with customers to ensure satisfaction with services provided and address any concerns or issues.
- Perform routine maintenance tasks on HVAC systems, including cleaning filters, inspecting electrical components, cleaning evaporator and condenser coils, inspecting and replacing mechanical belts.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot HVAC system malfunctions to identify the root cause of problems.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance and repair activities, including parts used, labor hours, and service dates.
- Provide recommendations to customers regarding upgrades, replacements, or modifications to improve the performance and efficiency of HVAC systems.
- Stay updated on industry developments, new technologies, and best practices related to HVAC systems and sales techniques.
Skills and Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; completion of an HVAC apprenticeship program is preferred but not required.
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and establish long-term relationships with customers.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to sales techniques and strategies.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Prior experience as an HVAC technician in maintenance and repair of HVAC systems is preferred but not required.
- Strong understanding of HVAC principles, components, and systems, including heating, cooling, ventilation, and refrigeration is preferred but not required.
- Proficiency in diagnosing and troubleshooting HVAC system malfunctions is preferred but not required.
- Knowledge of electrical systems, refrigeration cycles, and mechanical processes related to HVAC equipment is preferred but not required.
- Familiarity with HVAC tools, equipment, and diagnostic instruments is preferred but not required.
Working Conditions:
The HVAC Sales Representative & Maintenance Technician will work indoors or outdoors, depending on the location of HVAC systems being serviced. This role will involve exposure to extreme temperatures, cramped spaces, and heights when working on rooftops or in mechanical rooms. Personal protective equipment (PPE) and safety training are provided to ensure compliance with occupational health and safety regulations.
