RESPONSIBILITIES

What You Can Expect Day-to-Day

From booking shipments to building relationships, these responsibilities outline what a day in your role looks like.

  • Develop Carrier Partnerships – At DAL we advocate for our carrier partners as much as we do for our customers. Our goal is to match their available capacity with the business needs of our clients.
  • Negotiate with Motor Carriers - Your goal is to secure fair rates, ensuring all freight is covered each day
  • Outbound Calls - Proactively reach out to motor carriers to secure capacity and build lasting relationships
  • Market Expertise - Develop an in-depth understanding of your assigned area and educate others on market trends and seasonality
  • Achieve Targets - Meet or exceed load count and revenue goals to qualify for bonuses
  • Provide Updates - Offer timely tracking and updates on all shipments

REQUIREMENTS

What it Takes

The most successful Carrier Sales Representatives are numbers-driven, skilled achievers who genuinely enjoy partnering with people and their work.

Minimum Required:

This is a full-time, salaried position.

  • 1+ yrs of supply chain or logistics experience
  • Superior interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to cultivate effective business relationships with motor carrier partners
  • Growth and results-oriented with the desire to better yourself every day

Preferred:

  • Associate degree in Business Management or Logistics

Schedule: Friday - Tuesday or Saturday - Wednesday

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $40,000.00 - $50,000.00 per year

  • Logistics: 1 year (Preferred)
  • brokerage/3PL: 1 year (Preferred)
