DESCRIPTION OF WORK

This position applies an understanding of contracts assigned by receiving and reading contracts, and asking and researching questions, issues and concerns for clarity and comprehension.
You will have the opportunity to:
  • Ensure comprehension and agreement to terms, requirements, policies, procedures and guidelines of the contract.
  • Recommend approval or denial of rates and contract based upon DHS/OCYF, Contract Monitoring Unit Review, analysis and evaluation of the program's effectiveness and cost.
  • Recognize and resolve problems and concerns regarding contracts between DHS/OCYF and provider agencies.
In this role, you will be responsible for monitoring programs and services for adherence to the contract, government regulations, guidelines, budgets and services to be provided. Additional duties include meeting and developing a working relationship with provider agency staff, training provider agency staff in proper procedures and necessary paperwork, and inspecting provider facilities for safety, cleanliness, appropriateness and compliance to minimum requirements.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:
  • Full-time employment.
  • Work hours are 8:30 am to 4:30 pm, Monday - Friday, with 60-minute lunch.
  • Salary:In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
  • Two years of professional level experience in the field of children, youth and families; and a bachelor's degree; or
  • Any equivalent combination of experience and training.

  • Hiring preference for this vacancy may be given to candidates who live within Allegheny County. If no eligible candidates who live within Allegheny County apply for this position, candidates who reside in other counties may be considered.
  • You must be able to perform essential job functions.
