Job Description

Vectra Heavy Haulers is a growing oversize and heavy haul transportation company that is seeking to bring on a high-impact individual in sales with a focus on expanding our presence in Western Canada/USA. This position will start as remote with some face time with customers and in trade shows around the Calgary area. We are looking at office spaces in Calgary and once we are in office, we will adapt a hybrid office attendance policy.

What you will be doing:

  • Prospect for new customers via cold calls, email campaigns, customer referrals, social media, trade shows, and networking.
  • Identify and generate new sales opportunities through, mining, analysis, and discovery.
  • Assisting with some operational tasks (check calls, entering quote and load information, and follow ups) to ensure customers are well serviced in a timely manner
  • Visit or meet virtually with prospective clients and present an overview of the company.
  • Work with operations to create solutions based on customer needs, including appropriate pricing strategies, solution implementation and future customer growth.
  • Negotiate with shippers and carriers to ensure optimal level of service and profit maximization
  • Work with accounting to setup new clients (credit, billing instructions, etc.)

Job Types: Contract, Commission, Permanent

Pay: From $48,000.00 per year

Schedule:

  • 10 hour shift
  • 8 hour shift
  • No weekends
  • Weekends as needed

Supplemental pay types:

  • Bonus pay

Experience:

  • Transportation Sales: 1 year (required)
