POSITION SUMMARY: Del-Air RNC is looking to add a Business Development Manager for the Jacksonville and Palm Coast area. Position reports directly to the RNC Vice President of Business Development

The candidate will have experience in the Residential New Construction (RNC) builder services/trades industry. This role has the overall responsibility for developing business plans and sales strategies that will grow the business and increase revenue. The candidate for this role would manage day-to-day client communication and ongoing relationships as it relates to current, new, and upcoming projects. As necessary, this individual will visit customers, attend trade shows and other industry events to capitalize on networking and relationship building opportunities.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Call on a variety of prospective Builders to secure new community bid opportunities. Work with Builder contacts, Zonda forecasting data and local knowledge to scout upcoming new communities with the parameters and scope that best fit our business model.
  • Participate in industry and/or promotional events (e.g., HBA) to cultivate Builder relationships and networking.
  • Collaborate with Builder, Manufacturer and Vendor Sales Representatives (BMV).
  • Keenly manage Builder relationships by addressing concerns and providing solutions in a timely manner.
  • Monitor, research, and analyze market trends to identify new opportunities.
  • Maintaining accurate records of all sales activities.
  • Monitor competition via Win/Loss reporting to VPS.
  • Understand by research what GP% Del-Air should bid new communities per Builder.
  • Inspect Del-Air’s rough and trim installations from time to time. Report any concerns to VPS.
  • Preparing and presenting reports to the VPS related to your Sales activity as well as recommending improvements to sales processes and strategies
  • Manage all accounts by representing your Branch Operations team externally with BMV and internally with all supporting Del-Air team members and departments.
  • Develop a thorough understanding of Builders’ positions in the market, their product/service, points of difference.
  • Know the volume of work per Builder, strengths and weaknesses of current HVAC competitor.
  • Establish and build strong working relationships with business leaders at all levels in the market.
  • Ensure all viable Builder VIP’s (VPO, Purchasing Manager, Construction Manager, Warranty Manager) are engaged on a regular and effective basis.
  • Flexibility to perform other duties as required

REQUIREMENTS:

  • 10+ years’ experience with existing RNC Builder relationships in market.
  • Bilingual preferred English / Spanish
  • Proficiency in MS Office suite
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Goal-oriented with high standards for quality and performance
  • Flexibility with attending/hosting after hours VIP and weekend events.
  • Hardworking, action-oriented, and results driven to pursue new Builder’s work.
  • Demonstrates a “roll up your sleeves” initiative to get the job done
  • Willingness to cooperate and accept added responsibilities as required.
