Job Description

Well established and growing company is looking for a Relations Specialist for its East Dundee facility. Strong candidates possess excellent verbal/written communication and strong computer skills. Qualified candidates will have the ability to maintain relationships with our suppliers and must provide a competent, professional and personable representation of the company.

The ideal candidate will have the ability to work in a fast-paced office environment Monday through Friday.

Responsibilities:

Develop and maintain relationships with all companion animals, birds and live food suppliers.
Evaluate production abilities for all suppliers and communicate with segment manager on availability.
Evaluate and insure vendor compliance with regulating agencies.
Submit performance reviews of each vendor.
Communicate with different departments including sales, operations and suppliers to forecast demand and minimize shortages.
Occasional travel to vendor facilities.
Other duties as assigned

Requirements:

Knowledge of and passion for animals -Huge Plus!
Compassion for our animals, customers, and employees
High school diploma or equivalent
1-2 years of related experience
High proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite, including outlook
