Job Description
We are looking for a talented individual to join our team as a Senior Manager, Energy Efficiency Programs! In this role, you will lead and enhance our a portfolio of programs that focus on the commercial, industrial, and business sector. You will develop and implement strategies to scale these programs significantly, working closely with our clients and partners and distributors to deliver impactful energy-saving initiatives.
If you are a strategic leader with a strong background in energy efficiency, program management, and stakeholder engagement, we want you to help us drive our mission of reducing energy consumption and costs.
This role must be based in Ontario with a preference for candidates located in the GTA. This role can predominantly work from home but is expected to travel to client and industry events in Ontario, as well as meetings in our Toronto head office. It's likely that this role is 80% work-from-home and 20% either in office, or in the field, or at events.

  • Direct all phases of client programs from inception through completion, ensuring objectives for energy savings, customer satisfaction, and cost-effectiveness are met.
  • Collaborate with utility partners, contractors, and distributors to ensure program alignment and success.
  • Participate in contract negotiations and manage contract changes, ensuring compliance and client satisfaction.
  • Develop and execute strategic plans to enhance program reach, impact, and scalability, including marketing and outreach strategies.
  • Oversee program budgets, ensuring efficient use of resources and compliance with financial guidelines.
  • Manage a multi-functional team of 10-30 people, including other program managers and contractors, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment.
  • Act as the primary customer contact for program activities, leading program review sessions to discuss cost, schedule, and performance.
  • Implement robust monitoring and evaluation processes to measure program effectiveness and identify areas for improvement.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies to continually improve program offerings.
  • Lead process and tool improvement initiatives to enhance program delivery.
In this exciting career opportunity, you will have…
  • A Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field (Master’s degree or MBA preferred).
  • Minimum of 8+ years of project management experience, including 5+ years of people management.
  • Strong leadership and project management skills, with excellent communication and interpersonal abilities. Can inspire others.
  • Proficiency in data analysis and reporting.
  • In-depth understanding of energy efficiency technologies and best practices.
  • Familiarity with regulatory requirements and experience working with utility companies.
  • Experience with program design and development.
  • Experience building a contractor network or network of industry stakeholders.
  • Experience with pipeline management i.e. moving a large volume of something through a process (like a sales funnel, application review, inquiries, etc.) and identifying ways to minimize leakage in the pipeline.
