Job Title: Patient Services Representative

Wage: $20.00 - $22.00 per hour

Location: Santa Monica, CA

In this role, you'll be the friendly face that welcomes our patients and ensures a smooth and positive experience. You'll leverage your strong customer service skills and medical knowledge to answer questions, handle insurance matters, and ensure efficient clinic operations.

Responsibilities:

• Welcoming patients, addressing concerns, and escalating issues as needed.
• Checking patients in/out, collecting co-payments, and processing payments.
• Verifying patient demographics and insurance information in the EHR system.
• Scheduling appointments and completing patient registration.
• Handling referrals and authorizations for various insurance types.
• Managing patient/provider communication.
• Educating patients on policies, procedures, and services.
• Maintaining a clean and sanitized workspace.

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma (Associates degree a plus).
• Fully vaccinated and boosted for COVID-19.
• 1 year of experience in an outpatient clinic or medical office.
• Experience with medical insurance, referrals, and benefits.
• Strong customer service skills with a patient-centric approach.
• Experience answering phones and managing a high call volume.
• Experience using an Electronic Health Record (EHR) system (EPIC preferred).
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• The ability to prioritize, manage multiple tasks, and meet deadlines.
• A detail-oriented and organized work style.

Bonus Points for:

• 2+ years' experience as a Patient Service Representative.
• Experience with CS-Link/Epic.
