Manager of Pharmaceutical Communications

Location: Dallas, TX (Preferred)

Position Description

As Manager of Communications, you will be responsible for delivering and executing the internal and external communications strategies for key segments of McKesson’s Pharmaceutical Solutions and Services (PSaS) business with a focus on our core distribution business and customer segments including health systems, customer distribution experience, strategic pricing & manufacturer relations, and commercial strategy & innovation. Responsibilities include:

• Developing and executing internal and external communications strategies supporting key business priorities while working to advance the broader enterprise vision
• Engaging employees through clear and caring leader communications
• Leveraging internal channels to strategically connect each employee to PSaS imperatives and goals
• Amplifying our business wins and differentiated capabilities internally and externally
• Identifying and activating external thought leadership opportunities that are aligned with our strategic priorities and reach the right stakeholder, at the right time, with the right message
• Protecting brand equity and customer loyalty through issues management
• Planning, leader coaching and preparation, and content generation for large internal events
• Managing executive communications for key business leaders
• Leading change communications supporting organizations’ business needs

Expertise/Capabilities should include:

• Ability to manage projects and changing priorities, multi-task, and meet aggressive deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• Knowledge of the healthcare industry
• Executive communications and thought leadership
• Understanding complex concepts and writing in a clear concise manner
• Organization and executive communications
• Change communications surrounding organizational updates and changes
• Media relations and relationship building
• Social media support and copy editing
• Data communications supporting peer-reviewed data and regulatory milestones
• Storytelling behind customer success stories and business wins
• Issues management including labor relations
• Ability to travel - 20%

Minimum Job Qualifications:

Education/Training-

• 4-year degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, Journalism, English, or relevant field

Required Business Experience-

• Four (4) years of internal, executive, and/or external communications, or related experience
• Healthcare experience preferred

In addition to base pay, other compensation, such as an annual bonus or long-term incentive opportunities may be offered.

Our Base Pay Range for this position

$75,100 - $125,100
