The Regional Operations Manager is responsible for overall strategic direction, financial success, customer satisfaction, safety and staffing needs. The position will oversee sales and service activities for all assigned branches.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Supervise/direct branch managers and ensures daily duties are carried out.
  • Mentor and develop managers to improve skills.
  • Ensures key metric performances are in place and actively being managed.
  • Oversees all facets of area operations to insure all internal processes and daily work requirements are fulfilled each day.
  • Maintains branch inventory levels which meet or exceed company guidelines which include on hand unit accuracy and total investment.
  • Develop improvement points to bring to the company so that Operations are continuously improving.
  • Resolves issues as necessary. Interacts with internal and external customers of all levels.
  • Assists Area Branch Manager with daily operations of branches.
  • Handles special projects, as assigned.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:
  • High School Diploma or GED. College Degree preferred.
  • 5+ years’ of solid industry experience.
  • Oilfield, utility, energy, distribution or supply chain experience.
  • Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures or governmental regulations.
  • Strong leadership skills and experience.
  • Strong communication, organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to use office PC tools such as Microsoft Word, Excel, etc.

EcoVapor Recovery Systems

EcoVapor Recovery Systems is a growing Denver, Colorado, based firm applying innovative engineering to develop technology and products that solve critical emission control problems in the oilfield and other emissions-generating industries by eliminating the need for routine, 24/7 flaring practices. Instead, EcoVapor's patented products and processes allow operators of oil and gas production sites and biogas facilities to profitably sell that gas that would otherwise end up as air emissions / pollution.

EcoVapor designs fully packaged turn-key systems which include third-party components combined with custom engineered pressure vessels, control panels and other mechanical components. EcoVapor was founded in 2010, is headquartered in Denver, CO, and operates out of Service Centers currently located in Greeley, CO, Midland, TX, Williston, ND, and Roosevelt, UT.

As a dynamic, learning organization that operates in the changing landscape of emissions, regulations, and ESG, EcoVapor has recently introduced new products with more to come. EcoVapor is looking for the right fit to support our existing systems including ZerO2s, Sulfur Sentinels, Tank Commanders, Emissions Scouts, EcoForce blowers, Gas Dryers and beyond.

Each Service Team (i.e., Greely, Midland, and Bakken) are individually led by Regional Operations Superintendents that oversee the day-to-day service requirements of our customers and equipment and ensure they are addressed by their staff of technicians and also perform service work as required. They also have direct oversight over their staff, scheduling, facilities, tools, staff training, and upkeep thereof.

Job Description – Duties and Responsibilities

The Regional Operations Superintendent coordinates and ensures the safe and reliable delivery of equipment, performance, and service to EcoVapor’s customers within their region.

Team Management

  • Set performance goals and project deadlines, work within your team to safely execute to the desired end result.
  • Train Technicians and other direct reports to manage their own way to objectives set by Management and/or yourself
  • Complete site/job observations routinely
  • Delegate work to employees, track progress ensure proper execution of workload.
  • Provide constructive feedback – both positive / reinforcing as well as corrective.
  • Address problems with work quality, issues between employees and other concerns in an effective, timely manner.
  • Ensure employees adhere to company policies and legal regulations.
  • Serve as a link between subordinates and upper management.
  • Conduct performance reviews, motivate team members and enact strategies to boost productivity.
  • Set performance goals and project deadlines that align with the company’s larger plans.
  • Utilize and coach / train Operations team to work from and within EcoVapor’s software tools for inventory management, work order generation and tracking, scheduling, etc.
  • Ensure Shop Keeper / Service Coordinator has a clear understanding of parts and supplies (i.e., types, makes, and models of components that are included in EcoVapor’s products) and understands that their role includes much more than inventory management – coach them to anticipate needs that facilitate the Operations Team’s responsibilities.
  • Work closely with the Service Coordinator to ensure all labor, mileage, and material are accurately captured and documented in Syteline, supporting efficient and organized project tracking.
  • Develop your Team’s skillset, customer service skills, their own time management, and decision-making process.

Budget & Cost Control

  • Manage team to approved budget and operational costs, ensuring they remain within the predetermined limits, while delivering high-quality service to clients.

Scheduling coverage

  • Set work week schedule with / for employees. Required: Team’s ability to respond to issues 7 days per week.
  • Ensure proper coverage is available for the current workload (includes both anticipated and unplanned events) and communicate to Operations Manager any conflicts that will cause time restraints to receiving and delivering equipment, preventative maintenance, and commissioning / startups.

Time management and reporting

  • Track employees time and ensure proper hours are turned in and verified/validated, and approved for payroll on a weekly basis
  • Ensure team is properly utilizing their time. Superintendent must work within the team to make sure all tasks are completed safely and on time.
  • Prioritize your own time strategically. Stay ahead of and prepare for what’s coming.

Rental fleet management

  • Work with Regional Sales Manager and Supply Chain Manager to plan for and ensure Customer expectations are met including timing of unit relocations and new deployments.
  • Work through and with Technicians to ensure Preventative Maintenance is completed fully, properly, and on time.
  • Work through and with Technicians to ensure Incoming Quality Checks, Outgoing Quality Checks, and Commissioning Quality Checks are completed fully, properly, and on time.
  • Work with shop keeper to ensure units, parts are properly received into the system and documented.
  • Work with Shop Keeper to properly set up shipping and receiving.
  • Provide feedback to Operations Manager and Operations Engineer regarding any equipment failure.

Existing equipment maintenance

  • Oversee, coordinate, and help as needed with receiving, repairing & updating, and preparation of existing equipment returned from customer for future deployment using the Incoming Quality Checklist and Outgoing Quality Checklist as your guide.
  • Safely remove and store used catalyst for regeneration if required.
  • Fill reactor vessel with virgin and/or regenerated catalyst (depending on application).

Shop Cleanliness

  • Communicate and reinforce that the following values are critical and must be shared by every member of the entire EcoVapor team. Example: clean up the messes you make – the maid isn’t coming to do it for you.
    • Ownership – You’re the one most responsible for the success of your day, your work environment, and your future
    • Accountability – ensure everyone on the team, including yourself, is held to the same standard
    • Housekeeping – tools must be properly stored. A place or everything and everything in its place.
    • 5S – Sort, Set in Order, Shine, Standardize, Sustain
  • Conduct monthly shop inspections with Shop Keeper – provide feedback and set goals for coming month.
  • Ensure that equipment is properly maintained, clean, and inspected / certified (i.e., cranes) with current registration where applicable (i.e., trailers, compressors etc.)
  • Signage: Labeling, containment, safety signs in proper place.
  • Maintain an organized yard free of debris and potential clutter.
  • Office area is regularly swept and cleaned, free of clutter.
  • All paperwork filed, organized, and labeled – “accessible and visible.”

Safety – Proactive Approach

  • Work with EHS group to schedule periodic training and ensure proper certifications are completed as required (i.e., Safeland for new employees, CPR, H2S Clear, forklift certification, crane training etc.)
  • Ensure Technicians, Shop Keeper, and yourself are up to date on training and customer requirements via platforms including KPA, ISN .
  • Ensure all employees have the proper training certification for the job that is required – in the field or in the shop.
  • Ensure employees maintain an up to date first aid kit in each vehicle and shop.
  • Ensure that fire extinguishers – both inside the Service Center and in work trucks – are inspected monthly and certified yearly.
  • Work through Shop Keeper to ensure that personal 4-gas monitors and shop’s H2S sniffer are properly maintained and calibrated regularly per manufacturer’s recommendations.
  • Ensure that equipment inspections and certifications are performed in accordance with requirements – forklift, crane, SCBA, fall arrest equipment, etc.
  • Vacuums and air compressors must be properly maintained.
  • Perform regular vehicle inspections, including accounting for tools.

Customer Management

  • Ensure our customers have what the need when they need it.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for EcoVapor customers’ field/operations personnel, ensuring consistent communication and acting as the face of EcoVapor. Proactively address any customer concerns and provide updates as needed.
  • Coordinate with Account Manager to ensure that site issues, equipment service, and maintenance requirements are communicated to proper personnel.
  • Train customers and our own personnel on how EcoVapor equipment operates - what are optimal running conditions, potential issues that may arise, and who to call when help is required.
