Baldwin Supply Company is the leading distributor of conveyer belts, mechanical power transmission, electric motors, and control products in the upper Midwest. We are searching for an experienced Inside Sales representative for our Fargo branch to help us achieve the highest level of customer satisfaction. Our Inside Sales representatives are responsible for growing and managing assigned accounts and work jointly with our outside sales team to perform business development activities to expand the business. The Inside Sales position acts as a liaison between customers and the outside sales team by providing pricing, availability and any required customer service to ensure excellent customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities include:
- Respond to customer inquiries regarding product selection, placement of orders for standard products and services, requests for prices and quotations, and handle customer credits and complaints
- Access, update and maintain records for individual customer accounts with attention to details
- Coordinate activities with internal company departments, vendors and common carriers
- Provide technical and product assistance to customers in order to generate new and repeat sales
- Analyze individual solutions and take appropriate action to ensure customer needs are met
- Attend product and training sessions
- Develop superior product knowledge and assist customers with product application
- Other duties and/or projects as assigned
Requirements
- Minimum of five years of industrial inside sales experience. College degree is helpful, not necessary
- Proven history of meeting sales goals and growing sales
- Technical experience and aptitude
- Experience in working and partnering with an outside sales team
- Ability to learn and retain Baldwin Supply Company product and process knowledge
- Excellent communication skills, including written, interpersonal and listening
- Capable of analyzing issues and developing solutions
- Problem solving and analytical ability
- Ability to be creative and innovative
- Confidence and professionalism in representing the Company
- Willingness to be a team player
- Ability to complete a successful criminal background check and drug test
