As a new Commercial Solar Sales Representative at Garber Electrical Contractors, your day-to-day experience will be both engaging and fulfilling! Each morning, you'll kick off by researching potential clients and identifying leads in the solar sector. You'll actively reach out to businesses, showcasing the benefits of solar energy, particularly our innovative PVTS solutions. You will conduct presentations that elucidate how solar technology can transform their operations, demonstrating your expertise as an Electrician.
Collaborating with our dedicated team, you'll also participate in training sessions focused on NABCEP standards, ensuring you stay informed about the latest industry trends. Engaging directly with customers, you'll cultivate relationships built on trust and integrity, while always prioritizing safety in your interactions. To thrive as a Commercial Solar Sales Representative at Garber Electrical Contractors, you will need a diverse skill set to effectively engage with clients and drive sales in the dynamic solar market. Excellent selling, communication, and negotiation skills are crucial as you will be conducting face-to-face meetings with potential and existing customers. A self-motivated mindset is essential, enabling you to independently manage your daily work schedule while also collaborating with team members.
Building long-term relationships with clients and strategic partners is key, so the ability to generate referrals and foster trust will be invaluable. Strong attention to detail and a positive attitude will help you excel in preparing proposals and project designs. Proficiency in relevant software, including Word, Excel, and Accubid, is necessary for estimating costs and managing project pricing.
While product knowledge will be essential, having a foundation in NABCEP and PVTS will give you an edge in understanding the intricacies of solar technology.
Knowledge and skills required for the position are:
- Job Summary
- The Solar Sales Representative will conduct sales out in the field via face-to-face with potential and existing customer
Supervisory Responsibilities- None
Duties/Responsibilities- Services customers by meeting customer needs
- Services existing accounts obtains orders and establishes new accounts by planning and organizing daily work schedule
- Educate customers on how products or services can benefit them financially and professionally
- Establish & maintain lasting contacts/relationships with strategic partners and end-users
- Attend pre-bid job site visits
- Assist/create preliminary project designs using company software to provide an estimated ROI for the customer based on system production
- Work with estimator and/or utilizing Accubid to allot material and labor cost to each project
- Acquire quotes from vendors
- Set final pricing on spreadsheet and finalize pricing of project
- Prepare, follow-up. and close proposals
- Attend job turnover meetings with Project Manager and/or Foreman before the job starts
- Achieve agreed upon sales targets and outcomes within schedule
- Attend sales and companywide meetings
- Cross-sell with other divisions
- Any other duties that may be assigned

- Ability to develop long term relationships and generate referrals from your customers

Education and Experience- Two years of related field experience required
- NABCEP PVTS (Preferred)
- High School Diploma or equivalent
Physical Requirements- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at a time
