SALES & MARKETING REPRESENTATIVE (Full-time with Benefits)
Use your interpersonal skills as well as sales, customer service, marketing and social media experience to drive membership and personal training client growth, while keeping existing members and clients engaged to promote retention. Consistently take initiative to improve customer experience and business performance. Support growth initiatives and ongoing operational functions as assigned.
Responsibilities include:
- Sell memberships and personal training packages, not only transactionally, but by selling the value of our offerings, being adept at removing obstacles to making a sale, and ensuring customer satisfaction to promote retention
- Generate leads through marketing (grass roots and social media and networking)
- Develop captivating content, including reels, and engage efficiently and professionally with members and prospects
- Review club and personal training surveys, follow up with members and clients, and propose and/or implement improvements as required
- Make independent decisions related to customer service
- Ensure club is stocked with retail and operational supplies
- Collect outstanding dues
- Ensure facility and equipment operational and organizational and cleanliness standards are consistently met or exceeded
- Enforce club policies and procedures
- Support all other duties and initiatives as assigned
Requirements:
- 2+ years of experience in the following areas, which can be concurrent: fitness or relevant sales, customer service and social media marketing experience
- Ability to drive multiple revenue streams including memberships, personal training and retail using skills, experience, initiative and creativity
- Fluency in English with excellent communication, writing and interpersonal skills. Spanish fluency is not required, but it's definitely a plus.
- Possess a can-do attitude, recognizing that working for a small business means wearing many hats, taking initiative, being flexible and making things happen
- Solutions-based and results oriented, competitive spirit who takes initiative
- Ability to recognize areas of improvement and make (or propose) changes where applicable using good judgement
- Have a passion for fitness
- Professional, punctual, reliable and neat and organized with ability to prioritize and meet deadlines
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Trustworthy and able to handle confidential information
- Ability to work harmoniously with co-workers, clients and the general public; must have above-average soft skills
- Proficiency with computers and learning business operating software
- College Degree preferred
- Ability to work a 5-day workweek during the following days/times: Mon-Thur (9am-7pm), Fri (9am-6pm) and up to 2 Saturday mornings/month (9am-noon). *** Please note that if working a Saturday morning shift, you will have 1 day off from Mon-Fri, in addition to Sunday and the remainder of the day on Saturday! ***

- Mid-City, just off I-10 near City Park.
- Centrally located.
- Right on Canal Street across from a street car stop with plenty of free parking, including company-provided and reserved off-street parking.

We're seeking a mature, professional and experienced Sales and Marketing representative who loves fitness and building relationships. The right candidate will be a high-energy team player who is results-oriented and wants to continue to grow professionally while being instrumental in the growth of our business. This is a key role with growth potential!
Note: Salary range and compensation structure is DOE with additional, performance-based incentives!
