Job Description
The BDM role will own global growth for the Energy Storage ecosystem and will work with sales teams worldwide to develop relationships and drive deep and broad customer strategic engagements. The nature of the business is very sophisticated and focuses on understanding the linkages between companies. This role will affect top line revenue for Tektronix and provide the opportunity to team up with leaders at some of the top organizations in the world while still tied to the selling motion!
Responsibilities:
- Develops and maintains the ecosystem mapping for the market
- Develops global value selling collateral for vertical market
- Works with other vertical market BDMs to drive standard work and uses best practices
- Maintains overall visual management for Tek’s engagement with top customers in the market
- Works closely with R-KAMs/G-KAMs to drive growth
- Establishes, develops, and maintains business relationships with market maker customers resulting in revenue growth for Tektronix
- Works directly with the field sales teams to jointly drive key account management strategies in key market maker accounts
- Analyze market data to identify trends/opportunities and create compelling presentations for field teams to use to open doors and build credibility
- Owns conceptualization with customers focused on forward looking industry trends
- Participates in industry forums/webcasts to position Tektronix as an industry leader
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of proven experience in sales / product marketing / business development within the area of the energy storage ecosystem
- Ability to synthesize information from a wide variety of sources resulting in an overall growth plan
- Technical knowledge of the Energy Storage key technologies and architectures
- Effective verbal and written communications. Ability to deliver effective training to internal team members, solution partners or to enable customers to understand Tektronix solution benefits.
- Ability to work alone or in teams. Conscious of deadlines and effective time leadership skills
- Results oriented, proven track record of success delighting customers and delivering solutions to market
- Ability to link customer problems to potential solutions
- Excellent communications and presentations skills
- Creative problem solver
- Strategic Sales skills
- Ability to travel up to 25%
Preferred skills/education
- Bachelors or Master’s Degree or University Degree or equivalent, in a technical subject, such as Telecommunications or Electronics Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent
- Background in Test and Measurement
