Job Description
BASIC FUNCTIONS
Responsible for the sale of Bosch products within a Sales Territory primarily calling on local Warehouse Distributors, jobbers, technicians and National Accounts. Increase brand awareness with local technicians spending at least 50% of the time calling on workshops. Support Bosch sales activity at National account locations within the area.
PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES
- Meet or exceed sales & profitability goals established for account(s)
- Manage the total sales, effective coordination of resources and support of the Bosch product portfolio to assigned account(s).
- Maintain a favorable relationship with account base and internal associates while identifying opportunities to increase sales volume and profit margins.
- Develop, coordinate and execute all account management activities including sales objectives, goal deployment, P&L accountability, strategies and promotional programs.
- Carry out sales planning and representation for Bosch within your assigned geography and accounts.
- Assure that Bosch products are professionally represented.
- Perform WD, jobber and installer sales training on current and/or new products and promotions.
- Perform sales calls on all accounts within the zone according to assigned call frequency.
- Work with all Business Units, Category Management and Marketing departments to identify customer-specific opportunities for new product programs, and work with all supporting functions to assure Bosch performance meets customer expectations.
- Analyze sales trends/performance against plan; provide product and sales forecasts as needed. Develop and report technical changes, innovations, competitor actions and other developments observed in marketplace.
- Manage participation in sales meetings, conventions and trade shows as necessary.
- Responsible for accounts within Michigan, Indiana, Ohio and adjoining markets.
- Assist with WD inventory taking, updates and obsolescence returns.
- Perform other duties/tasks as required.
Qualifications
SPECIALIZED KNOWLEDGE
- BS, BA in Business with formal education in sales/marketing principles or equivalent years experience in the automotive parts industry.
- 5+ years experience in sales and marketing techniques.
- Knowledge of automotive products and the aftermarket preferred.
- Excellent verbal, written and persuasive communications skills.
- Strong computer skills: Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint. Sales mainframe experience a plus
- Ability to travel 75%+
