Summary
The Apartment Manager position requires a candidate with a strong background in customer service, property management, and property leasing. Knowledge of Fair Housing regulations, LIHTC, and Section 8 is essential for success in this role. Experience with Yardi and OneSite software is preferred. The ideal candidate should also possess skills in conflict management, legal administrative experience, and landlord-tenant law. Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to navigate complex situations are crucial for effectively managing tenant relationships and property maintenance. A high school diploma or GED is required, along with proficiency in Microsoft Excel and excellent phone etiquette.
Responsibilities:
- Rigorously maintain resident files and information in a confidential fashion and ensure high marks all file audits for two local properties
- Maintain clear lines of communication with residents, staff, and co-workers
- Processing of housing applications, recertification, and interim certifications
- Calculating and collecting rental payments in accordance with company policies
- Overseeing housekeeping inspections for two local properties
- Serve legal notices upon residents and appear in court on behalf of the property while following landlord tenant laws
- Schedule and supervise on-site team and coordinate with vendors
- Perform other duties as the function may require
- Maintain site within passable REAC/NSPIRE standards
Qualifications & Experience:
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Knowledge of Section 8 programming mandatory
- $500 bonus awarded after 90 days of employment if applicant holds or obtains COS designation
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Demonstrate working knowledge of Fair Housing and civil rights laws pertaining to housing
- Ability to use computers and software programs (such as Word and Excel) with skill is required.
- Knowledge of Yardi (Voyager) software will be a distinct plus.
- Ability to pass criminal background check required.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $45,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
