This role is responsible for leading the sales & marketing for the Mobility on Demand business unit
Job Description:
- Lead, mentor and manage a sales & marketing team consisting of 5-10 people who are responsible for both growing & developing existing customers and identifying & nurturing prospective customers, and converting them to active customers
- Develop a pipeline of opportunities that delivers on quarter and annual sales bookings targets
- Grow adoption and utilization of our solutions through the Customer Success Managers
- Enable the Sales Team to understand the value proposition of the Trapeze MoD solutions
- Responsible for managing and coaching sales discipline, including effective account planning, Salesforce CRM discipline, forecasting
- Assist Sales Team in managing complex sales cycles and navigating large transit authority/government organizations and processes, including active involvement in large opportunities
- Understand and evangelize the Trapeze value proposition at a senior business-level with clients and others in the industry
- Travel exceeding 50% of the time should be expected, working at customer offices, conferences and workshops
- Accountable for the creation and delivery of Go-To-Market plans for product offerings
- Accountable for the integrated delivery across all marketing channels (web, blog, email, social, media etc.)
- Maximize the Trapeze investment in events through participation of the sales & marketing teams to identify and nurture client opportunities
- Accountable for defining and reporting on key targets, scorecards, and measures pertaining to the delivery of marketing plans and strategy established with MoD leadership
Qualifications
- Experience leading sales teams in selling cloud solutions in the public sector, including sales teams focused on net new customer gains and expansion within existing accounts.
- Proven track record of growth
- Ability to plan and operate at both a strategic and tactical level, acting in a self-directed manner, demonstrating initiative, innovation, and the ability to juggle competing priorities through outstanding time management skills
- Metrics-driven with the ability to derive insights from sales and marketing data
- Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and staff to create a results-driven, team-oriented environment
- Agile, willingness to take “controlled” risks and engage with regular experimentation
- Highly developed and proven organizational and personal communication skills
- Readiness to apply our adopted sales stage methodology to ensure maximum revenue is generated from every opportunity created
- Proven ability to develop, implement and oversee innovative digital marketing programs
- Experience developing content and media campaigns in the public sector to evangelize market changes and needs, and to be seen as thought leader and trusted advisor
- Experience working across cross-functional teams to deliver on customer & market needs, leveraging the strengths of the organization to develop and win new business.
