Job Description
- Knowledge of the Logistics and Transportation Industry.
- Possess sales skills like closing, prospecting, sales planning, and networking.
- Manage, develop, and maintain client relationships by effectively transporting customers’ freight.
- Work with the Operations Team to meet customers’ needs.
- Build and maintain customer relationships, assess client specific needs, promote and sell services, and maintain sales goals and objectives.
- Actively lead and participate in multidisciplinary teams preparing RFP, Bid, and Proposal documents.
- Work closely with the Sales Director to develop territorial sales strategies, pricing, on-boarding customers, and managing the overall customer relationship.
- Work closely with the Marketing Team to ensure an effective focus on target customers.
- Cold calling within geographic area.
- Develop proposals according to clients' needs and expectations.
- Manage and evaluate optimum routes and route profitability.
- Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets.
Qualifications
- 3 years of sales experience and
- Minimum 1 year experience within the Transportation Industry.
- High school diploma is required. A college degree within a business discipline or relevant field will be considered an asset.
