Starting pay for this position is $175,000 per year.

Employee pay will vary based on factors such as qualifications, experience, skill level, competencies and work location. We will meet minimum wage or minimum of the pay range (whichever is higher) based on city, county and state requirements.


GENERAL JOB DESCRIPTION

Reporting to the Chief Supply Chain Officer, the VP of Logistics & Network Optimization develops, implements and is responsible for execution of logistics and network optimization strategies for a rapidly growing organization. This position will lead a team of managers and directors across the supply chain function.

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Build a scalable Logistics program for the FreshRealm platform.
  • Design and implement an optimal fulfillment network that meets FreshRealm's current and future production and fulfillment needs.
  • This leader will develop the overall transportation strategy and ensure that carrier relationships and contracts support the long-term strategy.
  • Responsible for cost reduction, on time delivery improvements, and launching new transportation services.
  • Evaluate and implement necessary transportation related software and tools that will allow us to reach our scaling and optimization goals including transportation management systems and routing optimization.
  • Hire and develop a high performing team.
  • Develop metrics and mechanisms to track and analyze performance, identify improvement opportunities.
  • Manage relationships with logistics service providers, negotiate contracts, and ensure compliance with service level agreements.

  • Strong leadership skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a team to achieve goals.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate. effectively across teams and levels of the organization.
  • Proficiency in logistics software and systems and analytics.
  • Proven ability to analyze complex data sets.
  • Strong data analysis, problem solving, and program management skills.
  • History of teamwork and willingness to roll up one's sleeves to get the job done.

Experience / Education

  • Bachelor's degree in logistics, supply chain management, business administration, engineering, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
  • 10+ years of experience in supply chain management, with a proven track record of success in optimizing supply chain operations.
