POSITION SUMMARY

The Sales Representative plays a pivotal role in driving new business and ensuring customer satisfaction by delivering tailored roofing solutions. The Sales Representative is responsible for conducting inspections, providing accurate estimates, and guiding clients through the entire project process. This position requires a solid understanding of roofing systems, strong communication and negotiation skills, and the ability to meet sales targets. By building and maintaining relationships with homeowners, businesses, and insurance adjusters, the Sales Representative directly contributes to the company’s growth and reputation for excellence.

OBJECTIVES

  • Actively generate new business opportunities through proactive lead generation, including cold calling, networking, customer referrals, etc.
  • Manage and convert office-generated leads into successful sales, ensuring timely follow-up and client engagement.
  • Perform thorough inspections to assess conditions and provide accurate evaluations of necessary repairs or replacements.
  • Prepare detailed and accurate estimates by collecting relevant measurements, specifications, and documentation, ensuring clarity in scope, labor, material, and time requirements.
  • Present proposals to clients with clear explanations, addressing any concerns while highlighting the benefits and value of the company's services.
  • Negotiate pricing and terms with customers to secure favorable deals while maintaining profitability and client satisfaction.
  • Coordinate with insurance adjusters on job sites, facilitating smooth operations and ensuring alignment on project assessments and coverage.
  • Document projects with comprehensive photographic records, from inspection to project completion, ensuring transparency and thorough communication with clients.
  • Manage paperwork and payments efficiently, ensuring all documentation is handled accurately and on time.
  • Maintain regular communication with clients throughout the project, providing updates on project status, timelines, costs, and material selections.
  • Build and nurture long-term client relationships, offering ongoing support and follow-up after project completion to ensure client satisfaction and future business.
  • Collaborate with office and field teams, ensuring seamless project coordination and addressing any challenges that arise during the project lifecycle.
  • Meet or exceed sales targets consistently, contributing to the overall growth and success of the business.
  • Promote the company's products and services through presentations, sales calls, and participation in trade shows, enhancing brand visibility and sales opportunities.
  • Stay informed on industry trends by attending workshops, reviewing technical publications, and networking with professionals to maintain expertise in roofing products and solutions.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

  • Ability to prioritize tasks effectively, ensuring timely completion of inspections, estimates, and project follow-ups.
  • Strong team player who can work closely with office and field teams to deliver seamless project outcomes.
  • Comfortable presenting estimates, proposals, and services to clients in a clear and persuasive manner.
  • Ability to adjust to changing client demands or project scope with a solution-focused approach.
  • Familiarity with CRM software, roofing estimating tools, and basic office software to track leads and manage project data.
  • Skilled at managing client concerns, resolving issues, and maintaining a positive customer experience.
  • Effective in handling multiple tasks simultaneously, from lead generation to project closeout, ensuring nothing is overlooked.
  • Driven to meet sales targets, take initiative, and continuously develop professional skills to contribute to the company’s success.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • 2+ years of experience in roofing sales required.
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets in a competitive environment.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Ability to stand, walk, and climb ladders or scaffolding for extended periods during roof inspections.
  • Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs of materials or equipment.
  • Regular travel to client sites is required, including outdoor work in varying weather conditions.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation for fieldwork and client meetings.

  • Base Salary + Uncapped Commission
  • 401k deferral is eligible after 1 year of employment

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $65,000.00 - $140,000.00 per year
