Inside Sales Representative
We are looking for charismatic, energetic, self-motivated, Technical Inside Salesperson to join our sales team in San Jose CA. The candidate must have excellent oral and written skills and the ability to read and understand the anatomy of a circuit board.
Experience: 5 years+ Inside Sales of proposal pricing/bid work and follow-up as related to materials or electronic systems with knowledge of the Tech and A&D industries. Familiarity with plasma technologies, application of conformal coatings, potting/encapsulation and epoxy compounds -preferred but not required. Experience selling to Tier 1 or 2 type customers a plus.
Education: Associates or Bachelor’s Degree in Business or Engineering a plus. Candidate must be competent in Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel and Word.
Industry Background: Aerospace, Medical, Technology, Industrial or Automotive experience required. Someone that has worked in both high volume and smaller volume operations and environments would be of interest.
Personality type: Looking for “driver" personality that has demonstrated closing skills. Focus is on customer care. The ability to work with a diverse customer base, follow-up on submitted proposals a key. Ideally the individual likes challenges but presents a refined and somewhat understated persona. Willing to go out on the factory floor and work with Operations when necessary, but spends primarily their time in bid and proposal activities supporting Outside sales personnel..
Intangibles: Candidates with knowledge of application engineering who understand with any formal conformal coating background would be highly regarded. Experience at similar companies (conformal coating, engineering services) a plus. Motivation, energy, drive and experience are the desired intangibles. The candidate should not be the type that relies on large infrastructure (layers) matrix type organizations to complete assignments.
Compensation- Up to $75,000 annual salary depends on experience.
Requirements:
- 5+ Years of direct work experience in an internal sales capacity.
- Demonstrated ability to price, bid and aid outside sales in closing deals.
- Professional demeanor and appearance.
- Strong knowledge in Contract Manufacturing or Coating.
- Manage qualifying opportunities involving multiple key decision makers.
- Strong problem identification and objection resolution skills.
- Able to build and maintain lasting relationships with customers.
- Exceptional verbal communication and presentation skills.
- Excellent listening skills.
- Strong written communication skills.
- Self-motivated, with high energy and an engaging level of enthusiasm.
- Able to perform basic calculations and mathematical figures.
- Ability to work individually and as part of a team.
- High level of integrity and work ethic.
- Strong knowledge of sales quoting principles, methods, practices, and techniques
- Must be competent in Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel and Word.
- Ability to interpret Drawings & Drawing notes.
