Outside Sales Rep ✨

SmartHire is looking for an Outside Sales Rep for a client in Kent. This is a Full Time/Direct Hire position. Ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3 years of B2B sales preferably in Manufacturing. You must have strong communication, customer service and computer skills. Valid WA state driver’s license, your own vehicle and ability to travel to Canada is also critical to this role.

Salary:

$84k salary + monthly vehicle allowance + commissions + expenses

Summary

The responsibility of meeting sales goals, obtaining new accounts and maintaining a professional image is the objective that each sales associate faces every day. They must continuously promote and sell products to existing and potential new customers. In turn, the relationship between the sales force and their customers can be very rewarding, both professionally and personally.

Job Duties

While each outside sales associate is allowed freedom in their position, personal initiative must be taken to complete several duties that are required on a daily basis. Some of these duties include:

  • Develop and maintain a thorough knowledge of products and market pricing
  • Develop and maintain an awareness of market activity, competitive trends, and respond accordingly
  • Meet or exceed the new business sales goals
  • Develop and execute a strategy for establishing new customer accounts
  • Service existing customer accounts with exceptional customer service, monitor purchasing trends
  • Organize and prepare weekly schedule of customer appointments, and cold call prospecting activities to establish first and follow up meetings with customer decision makers
  • Schedule regular travel to maintain and grow customer relationships, visiting at their facilities
  • Make joint sales calls with distributor reps
  • Communicate and assist in resolution of customer concerns, questions, product returns, pricing, etc.
  • Create solutions that ensure a smooth sales process
  • Work with Customer Service on customer billing issues and/or product returns
  • Provide sales management with call plans and results on a weekly basis
  • Observe, learn, and make recommendations that may improve team efforts
  • Keeping best interest in mind, conduct yourself and represent in a professional and ethical manner
  • Additional duties and responsibilities as required or assigned

Experience

  • 3 years of outside sales within Manufacturing
  • WA State Driver’s license
  • Insurable
  • Passport
  • Ability to travel up to 50%
  • Strong computer and phone skills
  • Hunter mentality
