Part Time Sales and Service Receptionist

Mission Hills Racquet and Swim Club is a growing health and fitness club with a strong passion to provide an unforgettable and exclusive experience for families and elite athletes. We are looking for an amazing, experienced sales representative with customer service background to share this passion and deliver and outstanding sales experience and great customer service.
Above all, our ideal candidate will be well-mannered, enthusiastic, friendly, welcoming, professional, punctual, and possess excellent communication skills.

The position will be a part-time position involving 12-25 hours per week.
Mission Hills lives on 12.8 acres of dense redwood trees, operates a gym, a swimming pool, and 13 outdoor tennis courts. The Sales Associate/ Front desk clerk position will involve reporting directly to the Manager and performing a
variety of different tasks such as sales, schedule management, administration, and gym maintenance.

Other duties will be determined by the Manager. Above all, our ideal candidate will be well-mannered, enthusiastic, friendly, professional, organized, punctual,
and possess excellent communication skills. One of our constant objectives is to provide amazing customer service, and we are looking for the best person to manage and handle a variety of different customer service situations (Therefore, previous customer experience is preferable).

Requirements:

  • Flexibility. Must have open availability to work up to 15-30/hrs. per week
  • Able to work both independently and with their team as one cohesive unit
  • Must be comfortable communicating in person, over the phone and via email
  • Punctual, initiative, friendly personality, polite, experience working with people
  • 1 Year Sales Experience
  • 1 Years Customer Service

Among the Duties and Responsibilities:

  • To Provide the first impression of the club and accommodates all guests and members who call or visits using the proper dialogue.
  • To Generate sales call log weekly and send it out to Front Desk Coordinators
  • To Make direct sales calls and follow ups with prospects
  • Able to promote products, services and sales
  • Able to meet sales goals and deadlines
  • Strong ability to communicate professionally and effectively with fellow team members, guests, and members
  • To work as part of a team in achieving Department objectives, and review on a regular basis.
  • To enthusiastically greet and welcome customers on a daily basis. Provide full attention to the customer and help as needed.
  • To schedule client appointments, such as tennis court reservations, consultation appointments, etc. This involves answering phone calls and emails regarding appointments.
  • To check and verify customer credentials as they enter the facilities. Check-in and direct customers to their respective court/ session.
  • To facilitate payment of services. This involves collecting client information and providing a smooth and simple payment experience for the client.
  • To perform data entry and management. This involves entering and updating client information to ensure system information is up-to-date.
  • To maintain office harmony by resolving client issues. This involves professionally and politely resolving any issues that may occur at the front desk. Situations of high importance or seriousness will be dealt with by the manager.
  • To implement all Department procedures relevant to the highest professional standard set by the department.
  • To ensure that company customer care standards are maintained when dealing with guests/members. To act as a role model, demonstrating professional conduct at all times.
  • To actively promote and sell all tennis, fitness, and wellness services to raise the profile of the club and demonstrate its value to guests and members.
  • Attend weekly operational management meetings and contribute as appropriate.
  • To maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for the enjoyment and welfare of guests and members, in accordance the company’s health and safety legislation.

Job Type: Part-time

Salary: $17.30/hr + Additional Commission pay: via Membership Sales Incentives

PERSON SPECIFICATION

Desired Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Good Academic Standing and Standard of General Education.
  • First Aid and CPR Certification.

Experience:

  • Significant previous experience with sales in the fitness and wellbeing industry/health resort environment/tennis industry.
  • Significant previous experience in a front desk/ administration role in the fitness and wellbeing industry/health resort environment/ tennis industry, providing high quality customer service.

Skills:

  • Ability to use all Microsoft Office Applications and other systems to a proficient standard.
  • Demonstrable customer service skills and the desire to go the extra mile to ensure guests have a memorable, high quality experience.
  • An excellent team worker who is reliable and demonstrates good timekeeping.
  • Excellent communication skills to ensure effective working relationships within and across departments.
  • Excellent communication skills as well as an excellent command of the English language.
  • Competent in lifestyle talks, nutrition, and fitness. Knowledge and Understanding
  • Knowledge, background, and passion for the fitness and leisure industry.
  • Knowledge, background, and passion for the tennis industry. (not required but preferred).
  • Knowledge and experience with Online Scheduling and Management Software (Such as: Wellness Living, Mindbody Online, etc.)
  • Knowledge and experience with Customer Relationship Management (CRM) Software.
  • Knowledge and Proficiency with Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access.

  • A polite, friendly, welcoming, and helpful nature.
  • Exceptionally well groomed and presented, and dress in full company uniform at all times.
  • You must have reliable transportation and be punctual to client appointments and classes.
  • The ability to work with discretion and in confidence, respecting guest privacy.
  • The Ability to work early mornings, nights, weekends, and holidays if necessary.
