ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Identifies and initiates sales opportunities as well as identifying and researching opportunities to build and develop new and existing relationships.
Manages a client relationship portfolio with a focus on building and retaining customer relationships. Uncovers clients’ and prospects’ personal and/or commercial financial needs to determine the appropriate products and services; recommends
solutions to meet those needs.
Provides a complete range of customer service activities including, but not limited to: problem resolution; account maintenance and changes; internal transfer and wire transfer requests and approvals; transaction overrides; NSF, uncollected items and service charge approval and rejections. May be assigned higher level of override and approval authority if in the role of Officer.
Acts as the primary contact for assigned accounts and ensures timely delivery of quality service and issue resolution. Will also assists walk-in clients.
Participates and assists in the execution of sales development activities to promote the growth of the branch’s customer relationship portfolio. Conducts referral follow-ups; calls and visits to new and existing clients; and participates in community or industry related functions.
Works closely with other lines of business partners for referrals and new business opportunities, including: Treasury and Merchant, Investments, Trust & Wealth Management, and Commercial Lending. Conducts referral follow-ups to ensure client satisfaction.
Minimizes the Bank's liability exposure by adhering to established policies and procedures, internal controls, and legal and regulatory guidelines. Stays current on applicable branch policies and regulations. Follows established security controls to protect the branch against criminal and fraudulent activities and unnecessary risk or exposure.
Ensures compliance and proper documentation requirements are met in adherence to internal policies and procedures during the new account opening process and service transactions.
Provides general support to other areas of branch operations as necessary.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Bachelor’s degree in Business or related field; five years of Personal Banking experience in a customer centric and goal-oriented environment; or a combination of education and experience. Strong product knowledge and understanding of standard branch banking policies and procedures. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to cross-sell bank products and services. Excellent verbal and written skills with exceptional influencing skills. Computer proficient in MS Word and Excel.
