Job Summary:

In this role, you will identify new opportunities and business development, implement accounts, and maintain and deepen customer relationships. You will build customer connections, sell Delivered’s value, manage projects from start to finish and ultimately close new profitable business. You will provide customer contact to achieve personal and company sales goals in a fast-paced environment.

Job Duties:

  • Develop new business by identifying potential new customers and growing gross profit, conducting background research on potential customers, discussing, and analyzing the customer’s needs, and developing and implementing value-added solutions.
  • Identify, drive, and close new business targets consistent with short / medium / long-term growth objectives.
  • Develop deep understanding of and share knowledge of key markets, players within the markets, requirements, trends, and needs as well as Delivered’s potential.
  • Develop and implement account specific strategies and growth plans; provide feedback on resource needs and emerging opportunities; recommend changes in offerings by evaluating results and competitive developments; drive market development activities.
  • Maintain existing business by developing an understanding of the customer’s business through research and customer interaction, analyzing customer needs, and developing and implementing solutions.
  • Lead cross functional teams to accelerate and drive profitable growth through selling to targeted accounts.
  • Regularly engage with customers to ensure customer understanding of Delivered’s services and to maximize customer utilization of Delivered’s services.
  • Foster outstanding customer relationships by providing regular business reviews, entertaining customers, and developing solutions, exhibiting outstanding communication skills, both oral and written, and learning the customer’s business.
  • Manage strategic relationships, cultivate new alliances, and monitor competitive activity.
  • Utilize negotiation skills to offer fair, competitive market-based pricing within parameters set by Delivered.
Requirements:


Experience/Education Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree/equivalent or four (4) years of business-to-business sales experience.
  • 5-10 years of experience working in a sales role within the parcel, transportation, or logistics industry.
  • Highly motivated, self-starter and possessing the drive for success.
  • Strong customer centric attitude, business acumen and not afraid of cold calling.
  • Strong analytical thinking, organizational and collaboration skills.
  • Excellent negotiation and persuasion capabilities.
  • Ability to Influence and communicate across all roles and levels both internally and externally.
  • Excellent project management skills.
  • Professional presence, including excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills.
  • Works autonomously on a day-to-day basis.
  • Strong computer skills.
  • Proficiency with MS Word & Excel preferred.
