Position Summary:

This position is responsible for selling, servicing, and retaining customers within an assigned geographic territory and/or customer list, focusing primarily on outside sales of managed services and managed cybersecurity services for AccountabilIT. This person must have experience with Microsoft products such as Azure, Sentinel, O365 etc. This role demands a consultative sales approach, and the Account Executive must possess the necessary skills to identify prospects' business needs, build trust, and fulfill those needs with the provision of AccountabilIT services. This function is critical to the business growth of AccountabilIT.

In this position, you will be required to engage in extensive written and verbal communication with prospects, customers, and AccountabilIT's Sales and Operations organizations. The ideal candidate must be an excellent team player, capable of working effectively in a leadership role, an assisting role, or as an individual contributor. Travel may be required to support sales pursuits regionally or throughout North America.

The secondary focus of this position is to maintain effective customer relationships with key decision-makers and influencers to understand their business needs, upsell services and products, contain compression/churn, increase brand awareness, and drive growth. Once a company becomes a customer, the Account Executive’s objective is to ensure exceptional service delivery, meeting not only the contract requirements but also the expectations of the key customer contact.




Essential Functions:

  • Primary responsibility is to meet or exceed assigned sales and delivery objectives.
  • Prospective customers:

o Identify new prospects and introduce AccountabilIT's value proposition to key decision-makers within the account.

o Develop, document, and execute account penetration strategies for prospects.

o Present to and build relationships at the C, VP, and Director levels.

o Coordinate sales engineers and technical architects support of different pursuits by providing guidance, strategy, and prioritization.

o Develop proposals and solution documentation to augment architects and sales support efforts as needed.

o Ensure timely entry of all account, contact, and opportunity data into CRM.

o Report sales activities, pipeline, and forecasts via CRM.

o Effect a clean and efficient transition of new customers to the delivery organization.

  • Existing customers:

o Ensure AccountabilIT is meeting all contractual obligations.

o Maintain a highly satisfied relationship with the primary customer contact and AccountabilIT.

o Escalate issues to AccountabilIT senior management and develop a remediation plan.

o Manage and provide follow-up on the successful delivery of remediation plans.

o Gain a detailed understanding of the customer's business objectives and IT Department goals to develop a strategic plan for increasing AccountabilIT's wallet share.

o Develop and maintain a current account plan for strategic clients, detailing their business and IT objectives, key relationships, current business with the client, and plans to grow the business within the account.

o Coordinate and conduct regular customer account status meetings, including weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual reviews.

  • General:

o Accurately and consistently utilize CRM and other company toolsets.

o Complete all required paperwork, sales forms, and reporting documentation in a timely manner.

o Maintain a high level of industry, organization, product, and service knowledge and effectively communicate this knowledge to customers and prospects.

o Develop long-term strategic and executive-level relationships.

o Collaborate with others to design and develop advanced technology solutions for clients.

o Continually learn and develop proficiency in new technologies and selling points, including enhancing expertise in AccountabilIT's products and solutions.




Required Qualifications (This should include any minimum education, work experience, knowledge, & skills necessary to perform the functions of the position):

  • Bachelor’s degree OR 4+ years of professional work experience
  • 5+ years of IT sales experience



Other Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of the Information Technology field (Azure, Sentinel, O365)
  • Strong business and financial acumen
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Works with minimal supervision in progressing opportunities from new and existing clients
  • Sales Training/Seminars/Certification preferred
