Asphalt & Concrete Maintenance

Pavecon is expanding and we are seeking experienced SalesRepresentative(s) / Project Manager(s) looking for a progressive and lucrative career opportunity.

The scope of Pavecon’s retail division work includes parking lot paving projects both concrete and asphalt, pavement sealcoating, line-striping, crack and joint sealing, as well as small site development and drainage systems.
General Description
The SalesRepresentative / Project Manager will generate the relationship to drive return business necessary to sustain and grow revenues for Pavecon, as well as drive the industry to new heights through reputable, distinguished performance. While relationship development is important, the SalesRepresentative / ProjectManager will also be required to oversee the day-to-day operations for their construction projects. These responsibilities will range in value and complexity. The associate will ensure that the project is completed safely, on schedule, and within budget, while meeting customer expectations. This position requires both selling, estimating, product knowledge, and project management experience.
Key Duties
- Develops the client relationship.
- Provides estimating expertise while ensuring the process is enjoyable for the customer.
- Negotiates with the client.
- Responsible for the technique, economic and operations plan for the job.
- Optimizes the operation's means and methods with the Production Team.
- Collaborates the progress of the operation to meet the objectives.
- Determines the suppliers and the subcontractors required in tandem with the Production Teams.
- Ascertain the project schedule.
- Participates in weekly project update meetings.
- Participates in the division weekly sales meetings.
- Ensures project quality on the project and respects commitments with the client.
- Reviews and approves all change order requests.
- Responsible for accurate customer invoicing.
- Maintains professional relationship with client(s).
- Participates at the final acceptance of the project.
- Ensures compliance with all company policies and procedures.
Requirements
- Five years of successful sales experience.
- Experience in the asphalt, construction, landscaping or lateral type of business.
- Experience in building long-term relationships to create pipeline.
- Maintains professional relationship with client(s).
- Strong interpersonal skills with an ability to work effectively with a wide range of people, teams, managers, supervisors and vendors.
- Experience in estimating and operations management.
- Process oriented with a problem-solving mentality.

Education / Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or comparable discipline or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred.
- Minimum of five years of experience in a Project Manager / Sales position or equivalent position with a customer service focus.
- Previous experience in construction sales is strongly preferred.

- Ability to drive safely respecting all traffic codes with safe driving record.
- Ability to lift 10-50 pounds.
Work Environment
- Office, customer sites, outside.
Computer Skills
- Familiar with MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Power point and Outlook), CRM, use of IPad and google earth.
Other Skills and Abilities
- Strong ability to close a deal and get the official job order/project.
- Knowledgeable in estimating in a paving, concrete, landscaping or construction type environment viewed as a plus.
- Able to review blueprints, specifications, proposals, plans, & drawings.
- Excellent math and geometry skills.
- Excellent communication skills; both written and verbal.
- Clean driving record.
