Team Overview
The Sales Operations team is looking for an energetic, self-motivated, analytic and resourceful Associate who will be supporting a team of business development professionals. Reporting to the Manager, Sales Operations, the successful candidate will support and enable the sales teams to be more efficient as they perform business development activities. The team is comprised of Associates, Senior Associates and Advisors located within the EDC regional offices across Canada. The Associate will work in a matrix environment and is expected to contribute to both the Sales Operations team and regional offices' overall success by delivering quality services and adopting/improving national standards.
Discipline Summary
- Support sales operations through various activities
- Maintain and enforces data quality
- Use business software applications (including but not limited to Customer Relationship Management (CRM) System) to perform data entry and conduct searches based on governance standards
- Identify, enhance and follow specific processes and procedures to maximize the efficiencies of workflows to which the support is being provided
- May provide support to the regional office’s administrative functions
Key Responsibilities
National Inbox Email Management:
- Actively participate in the collective workload of managing the National Inbox by completing a variety of tasks (saving documents, performing Financing Crime/Know Your Customer searches, reviewing documents received for accuracy and moving transactions to different sales stage within the CRM system, etc);
- Professionally respond to incoming emails from EDC business development groups, financial institutions, or customers within defined service level agreement timeframes.
- Promptly and accurately save information and/or write notes in the CRM system ensuring high data quality.
Regional Office Sales Operations Support:
- Provide quality regional office sales operations support to the Regional Director and the business development Relationship Managers
- Conduct regular and effective one-on-one meetings with Relationship Managers to ensure advancement of new/renewal business opportunities and to review business pipeline from the CRM system
- Engage with internal and external partners to gather documentation and ensure progress of renewal business opportunities
- Demonstrate strong communication skills by sharing regular sales operations process updates during weekly regional office team meetings
- Effective interaction with Regional Directors on an as needed basis
Project and Continuous Improvement:
- Adopt and contribute to promote our sales operation processes that drive efficiency across the organization
- Gather feedback & identify opportunities to improve and develop new processes/tools.
- Collaborate to the achievement of continuous improvement initiatives
- Demonstrate effective interactive communication skills by sharing progress made and ensuring that the team’s perspective is reflected in continuous improvement outcomes.
Screening criteria
- Undergraduate Degree or College Diploma in Business Administration, Marketing or related field
- 0-2 years (Associate) of experience in sales operations, marketing or related experience
- Bilingualism in both official languages (French and English).
- Strong written and spoken communication skills with strong ability to follow up with external and internal partners
- Strong attention to detail and data entry skills
- Strong ability to work with various applications (CRM, Office 365, MS Teams, SharePoint etc.)
Assets
- Understanding of financial and accounting terms
- Prior experience in sales operations support
- Prior experience in administrative support
- Prior experience working in a financial institution or corporate entity
Compensation Details:
- Sales Enabl. (Ops & Capab.) 13: Salaries typically range from $49,694 to $66,259 annually, based on qualifications and experiences, plus a performance-based incentive
Location
- Export Development Canada is a hybrid work environment.
- This role will be performed from EDC’s headquarters in Ottawa, or Toronto/ Montreal Community Hub
