Job Description
The Territory manager works with in a Dealer Network to establish a working relationship between the Company and the Dealer to develop sales in the territory. The manager identifies, qualifies, and follows up with prospects and leads referring them to the appropriate dealers. He/She will work closely with the dealer and act as the factory liaison for all sales inquiries, sales or customer referrals to the appropriate sales representative or manager. The Manager works with the VP of Operations for Renn Mill Center LP to develop marketing strategies for business markets to maximize sales in the industry.
Reports to: Canadian Director of Sales, Degelman Industries
Responsibilities:
⦁ Compile lists of prospective customers for use as sales leads based on information from advertising inquires, direct mail responses, trade shows, business directories, Internet Web sites and other sources.
⦁ Territories of responsibility- Alberta and British Columbia for Degelman and Renn Mill Products.
⦁ Work closely with the manufacturing facilities to develop marketing strategies for business markets to maximize sales in the industry.
⦁ Travel the territory to call upon potential and existing customers as well as work the Dealer Network to sell Renn Mill and Degelman products.
⦁ Provide product demos on request to qualified dealers or customers.
⦁ Complete demonstrations that are accurate, thorough and timely.
⦁ Emphasize saleable features, quotes prices and credit terms.
⦁ Develop a method of follow-up on all quotations.
⦁ Maintain accurate, complete and timely sales information, forecasts including call sheets.
⦁ Overcome business or technical barriers/objections to sell to prospective customers.
⦁ Address customer concerns in a professional, productive and timely manner.
⦁ Communicate estimated dates of delivery to customer based on knowledge of Renn Mill and Degelman production and delivery schedules.
⦁ Prepare accurate sales reports on a monthly/quarterly or weekly basis.
⦁ Prepare and keep dealer data base current.
⦁ Works with dealer keep account activities and literature current, accurate and complete.
⦁ Investigate and resolve customer complaints regarding deliveries.
⦁ Attend trade show and Dealer Open houses as necessary.
⦁ Provide input into the effectiveness of sales programs. Recommend and implement changes based on findings.
⦁ Develop and implement distribution strategies, re-selling agreements, and other growth opportunities.
⦁ Develop, manage, and nurture new business accounts and partnerships
⦁ Complete other duties as necessary.
Requirements of the role:
⦁ Degree or Diploma in Agra-business or Agriculture or 5-10 years direct agricultural sales experience.
⦁ Experience in all aspects of sales, including growth strategies, distribution channel management, account development and business planning.
⦁ Strong knowledge of sales principles, methods, practices and techniques.
⦁ Self-motivated, able to work independently and as part of a team.
⦁ Ability to coordinate and organize meetings, exhibits and other events.
⦁ Strong problem identification and problem resolution skills.
⦁ Preference will be given to an Alberta based candidate.
Working Conditions:
⦁ Ability to attend trade shows and conduct presentations
⦁ Travel will be a regular part of the job.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $50,000.00-$100,000.00 per year
